Utah - A place for fun?

Yeah....let's put up a 10 foot wall around the bar area in all restaurants because some jackass politician feels that he doesn't want his kids to see the alcohol when he goes into a restaurant...

News for you buddy:
A) The only reason your insanely stupid fit about this is even catching some air is because your making an argument in a state that is unfairly controlled a a religious organization that will outlaw something if it doesn't apply to THEIR belief system, without acknowledging the fact that there are plenty of people in Utah that DON'T adhere to this aforementioned "religion".

B) Tough shit. People drink, and this is America. Put your right of choice to use and go to a restaurant that doesn't serve alcohol or have a bar. Or as a better idea, why don't you actually talk to your children about alcohol and try to influence them not to begin drinking and why. That is your purpose for you childish tantrum right? Of course you wouldn't want to threaten this states number one industry of profit which is tourism by making a physical example of why people don't think of Utah as a place to visit and have fun.

I have lived in Utah my whole life. I was born and raised here, and I truly do love this state. It's beautiful, the people are very pleasant, and it's an easy place to be successful. But this kind thing just pisses me off. People wonder why Utah has such a bad rap, and i think it's fair to blame our narrow-minded, gay-hating, LDS (Mormon Church) influenced conservative legislature.

I love Utah's naturality...but piss on it's government. John Huntsman Jr. Is a governor that has been pushign for some much needed change in this state.

I hope this isn't law already?

It's also not fair to the businesses at all.

You're telling me. Businesses are NOT happy around here, and they are badly suffering from this. It isn't a law yet, but it's obsurd that it's gotten as far as it has...

It's a VERY fun and beautiful state, but you have to know what you are looking for. I'm going to Arches this Friday actually...but it's going to be a bit chilly at night. We're camping in the desert, and I'm hoping to get some excellent shots of Arches on our hiking/photograph adventure there. I'm working on building a strong portfolio.

You'll have a GREAT time!!! Also, hit up Zions National Park, and Bryce National Park if you can...

If you came here for skiing, that explains why you are under the impression that we're "weirdos". The skiing population can be a little, oh, snobby and high-class....which I guess would qualify them as being "weirdos" because if there is some reason that you are better than someone else because you ski, adn have a sticker on yoru car that shows off where you ski (like anyone really cares), than I haven't found this reason yet.

To be fair, every place you go is full of weirdos...it's the world we live in. Some places just have religious, ski-bum/snob weirdos...

I thought the Skibum/Snob weirdos were the coolest. Then again I was one, not the the snobby one though.

The Snobs all reside in Deer Valley and Alta.
