this board doesn't see a lot of action

seems like there aren't as many of us or if there are, people are posting less frequently.

must be the economy.

    Actually, the economy has me posting here more than ever. I got laid off 2 months ago and come here to distract myself from my depressing job search. ;)

    But I think the board is quieter is because of the new rules having to be a 10C member to post. It's succeeded in keeping out the trolls but I think it's also kept away a lot of old Pit regulars. Just my observation; could be wrong.

    I just started checking the board again for the first time since the switch. It was buggy at first and it took a while to get my old info switched over. Plus, it is harder to log in during work because the "new look" is easier for your supervisor to spot you fucking off.

    It will pick up come the fall when the tour and new album come out.

    As for now the Lost thread, movie threads and soon the baseball threads will be heavily trafficked. It's just a slow time of the year and people are still getting used to this thing.

    I'm sure once the Christmas single gets announced and the re-issue of Ten gets shipped people will be back.

    This says it all... more than double the number of 'guests' to 'registered. These guests would have been posting on the old board.

    I agree.

    I was really just a lurker on the old board. Now that I'm out of work I have the time to be here more. That may change if I get a job.

    But I think things will pick up. Other message boards I belong to go in cycles. Tours in particular have a way of increasing activity.

    That's probably because of the new avatar feature. This place has turned into a fucking dating service.

    I miss my old board... It's funny 'cause I was just thinking about it during lunch and this thread appeared out of nowhere (as they usually do).

    Chat? Chat is the pathetic flirtation you see around these places too often. That was heated debate on an interesting subject. If that thread is what you consider chatting, then there is no thread on this board that isn't chatting. It wasn't our fault that most people were too chickenshit to throw their hats into the ring ;)
