Pearl Jam with a much different sound, March 6, 2008
By Mr_No_Name (richmond, va usa)
This piano tribute to Pearl Jam was a heck of a lot better than i initially expected it to be. Being a huge fan of Pearl Jam, I came across this cd on this website and i picked it up at a local cd store, Not knowing what to expect. Being that i also love piano music, I really had to hear this. This cd sounds pretty mellow for much of its running time, But that doesn't make the cd bad. Actually, Some of these renditions are actually pretty good! ''Jeremy'', Pearl Jam's quintessential classic, Is transformed into a catchy piano number which is also driven by its clever use of bongos! Another highlight of the cd is ''Alive'', Which is another one of my all-time favorite Pearl Jam songs. ''Alive'', Which already was pretty mellow, Is even more mellow here, But it too works being that it's wonderfully played on the piano. However, There are some renditions that miss the mark and turn out to be dissapointments, But, I would say this is a mostly decent instrumental collection of re-worked Pearl Jam classics. If you don't like mellow music, Do NOT buy this cd. Otherwise, You should find yourself relaxing to the soothing music on this cd.

None of these sound anything like Pearl Jam.
I guess the song links got screwed up, because there's a piano tribute to MCR, but no songs. Weird.

review is fishy too. "'Alive'', Which already was pretty mellow" Alive=mellow?....

hehehe
It'd be even better if they based their entire tribute on a mistaken Amazon listing that had My Chemical Romance snippets up for a Pearl Jam record
