Does anyone have one and are they worth the money? They have come out with the K2 now so I wanted to see what people are saying.

The book collection in my house is taking over room by room and I would like to see if this is a viable replacement.

It was discussed here. As I replied, my cousin has one and loves it. :D

The search feature on here sucks..I could never find anything...

I love mine! If you read a lot it's well worth the money. Your saving trees and saving room in your place. :).

I just hate the fact that certain books aren't on Kindle yet because I really don't want to buy books anymore :P

Not for me. I hate reading stuff on computer screens. It hurts my eyes and annoys me. Plus, internet would be too distracting, I read to get away from being plugged in all the time. I also like my book collection. I tend to regularly sell books I don't think I'll re-read anyway to get new things, so I'm able to keep my collection manageable generally. And they always look so nice on the shelf. I still buy cd's for the same reason. I have a deep moral opposition to our entire lives being reduced to microchips... I don't want all my books, all my music, all my movies crammed into one tiny little electronic box :(

It's a lot easier on the eyes then a regular computer screen. Well imo anyway. I still don't own a mp3 player and buy cds but this is the only techno gadget I own.

+1 Plus, the like the feel of a book in my hands...I think I'd miss that.

I'll pass, I still like reading the actual book. See if they can find another way to save trees than eliminating books.

I was really skeptical but I have to say I was impressed by it. You can change the type to fit how you like it and it does save paper. I'm one that loves books though so haven't purchased it but I do like it, and will keep it in mind for the future. :)

I'm open-minded, so maybe when I get a job that allows me to spend money on things like it, I'll give it a look. But by then, they'll have moved on to something else..
