    I blame Boras.

    Boras became Manny's agent last season and knew he wouldn't see a dime unless he got Manny a new contract.

    So Manny did everything he could to get out of Boston because Boras put dreams of a 4 year 100 million dollar deal in Manny's head.

    I'm really glad he didn't get a contract like that. But I'll always be thankful for the World Series rings from Manny.

    I honestly don't give a flying **ck how great of a baseball player is. They DON'T deserve to be making that kind of money. For most of us who are living from paycheck to paycheck just trying to pay our bills and put food on our tables. People are either getting laid off or their hours & sometimes hourly wages are cut.

    I just can't understand why they DON'T have a salary cap on what these players are making. The banks are all getting loan after loan after loan. Where in the world is this money going. I went off the subject a little bit...

    We the people need to take a stand and not go to any of these games. Here we are using our hard earned money and pay ridiculously high ticket prices to be there cheering our teams on. WTF are they contributing to this economy right now. BTW I haven't even been to a baseball game since 2004...

    This is nothing new players getting crazy amounts of money to play a kids game. It is what it is so oh well.

    You are exactly right. Boras could see himself waiting two years to get a payday off of Manny and he knew the likelihood of a huge pay off would be highly unlikely at that point.
    Agents love to go around telling everybody what their clients are worth, especially Boras, and its time the organizations take a stand more often and say no. Boras and Manny were fooling themselves if they ever thought he would get a 100mil particularly after he tanked it in Boston. It is pretty damn funny to me.
    And if I am not mistaken, the contract he signed with the Dodgers is virtually identical to the one they offered him in November. Manny said "gas prices are up and so are mine" back then....well gas prices went down.
    Still, it is outrageous to think that I'm sitting here thinking Manny and Boras learned a big lesson in all this...the fucker got 45mil for two years!!! Unbelieveable!!!
    And I will wager that he will not make it through the season without pulling some of the shenanigans he did in Boston and that he will not return to the Dodgers next year. He will have a chip on his shoulder from the start this year and it will certainly show up sooner or later
    All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

    They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all
