Double Layer Discs

I have a Coby dvd player and it will not play a burned DL disc. Shouldn't all dvd players play a DL?

Nope! Many old models can't play them. And many can't play certain brand name discs.
How old/model is this Coby DVD Player?

Thanks, it's a Coby 233. I checked out the site and it doesn't look like it will play them. Can you recommend a dvd player that is plays multi regions, DL discs and that isn't too expensive?

Check out LG's Divx DVD Player's! I have one that play's everything I through at it. I bought it at Walmart for 50 bucks CDN.

Phillips Divx DVD players are great too- plays everything as well
