I can tolerate Muse at times, but I agree with yoon on Coldplay and U2. I watched U2 from the wings of the stage on the last tour, & even that close, I was bored out of my mind. They are such a 1-trick pony of a band!

is Nickelback really that big still?

I wouldn't put them on my list because they are so obsolete that i never hear them out here in seattle so they don't really annoy me.

    I don't think i've heard a Nickleback song since 02' or 03'

    bands that are annoying me:
Kings of Leon - not so much the band, but rather the crowd of people they are attracting with their "stadium style" of music they've been doing lately.

Airborne Toxic Event -they hand pick from all their favorite indie songs from the 00's, change them slightly, and call them their own.

Chris Brown - you're not a band, i've never listened to your music, don't know a single song of yours, but your a wife beater, and for that I hate you and you're on the list.

After watching "Sober House", I thought about adding Crazy Town to my list.

    Clutch

    :o

How can you say that?? Even if they aren't your 'cup of tea' it's not like they're in your face or on everywhere.

They're good guys, hard working, unassuming, prolific tourers (not only in the US) and down to earth. I can understand if the thread was maybe 'which bands do you dislike the most', but I honestly think unless you go looking for Clutch they're pretty much off the radar and therefore can't be too annoying to anyone.

I'm surrounded by Clutch fans. I hear it all the time. And yes , they annoy the living hell outta me. I understand how rich of a following they have. I see it everyday. How can you assume that i "can't" be annoyed by them simply cause their not on the radar? You must be a fan. I am not. And when i hear them , they annoy me.

This is an opinion thread.......how can ones opinion be wrong?

    Really!? I disagree 5/5. :?

I disagree with Blind Melon, Neil Young, and The Who. I've never gotten into the Dead, and My Morning Jacket died for me after their terrible opening in Cleveland during Pearl Jam's 2006 tour.

Going along with this thread, the 3 bands that annoy me the most are:

    Creed
    Nickelback
    Coheed and Cambria

What the hell, I'll keep going...

    Hole
    Yellowcard
Fall Out Boy and all those related, associated, and their soundalikes
My Chemical Romance (They KILLED Bob Dylan's Desolation Row.)

So you're saying my opinion of your opinion is wrong?? ;)

    I've re-read my post and I don't believe I said at any point you were 'wrong'. What I said was I didn't understand using the term 'annoy' in relation to Clutch. In my, personal, view there are 2 main reasons to find a band annoying;

    1. One (or more!) members having inflated egos/overbearing personalities/whining/generally being pathetic etc
    2. Quite strongly disliking their music/sound and not being able to get away from it (tv, radio, bars, clubs etc)

and in my experience they aren't the former and where I live you definitely couldn't say the latter - no way are you going to hear them anywhere other than your home/car or a Clutch gig!! I therefore assumed this is pretty much the case all over hence the comment of them being 'off the radar'. This obviously isn't the case where you are, therefore I now understand.

All I can say is kudos to your town and the people you're surrounded with :P :D

wow. this is a weird list for someone who is a fan of pearl jam. the reason you probably fail to understand the love for blind melon is because you don't appreciate a lot of good music. you're entire list here with the exception of kings of leon are all great bands. how can you hate the who and be a pearl jam fan? i mean, you can like and dislike whatever you want, it just boggles my mind because of how heavy of an influence some of these bands have been on pearl jam and it really shows in their music. sorry for the rant, nothing personal, i just don't understand it at all.

anyway, i agree with most of the nickelback, creed, limp bizkit posts but i don't let that music bother me because most people already know it sucks. my list would be...

i think you can like pearl jam but not like the bands that you are "supposed" to like. just because a band inspires the band you like doesnt mean you must like them. it drives my pearl jam loving friends crazy that i do not like the clash or the ramones.

i'm sorry, it's not about liking or not liking bands you are "supposed" to like. i don't understand when people come up with this argument. there is no music you are supposed to like, just music you like and music you don't. the fact is that the who and blind melon in particularly made music that is extremely similar to pearl jam. i can see if someone says they aren't a huge fan of blind melon or the who but they love pearl jam, but when someone lists the who and blind melon in a list of bands that annoy them the most it makes no sense. maybe the person who made the comment can't stand shannon hoon's voice, and i can understand that. but the style of music is so similar that i would question whether or not "QT31085" likes pearl jam becuse of the music or because of some infatuation with eddie vedder. that's all i'm saying. it's like someone saying i love oranges but clementines are disgusting.

    In response to Tiki:

wow. you really need to work on your logic there. first you claim that i must not like "good" (what is "good" music anyway? you like blind melon and i don't therefore they aren't good to me. i didn't say they weren't talented or didn't have an influence on pearl jam. i just said they annoyed me. and the assumption you make on my musical taste from these bands is borderline retarded.) music based on the fact that i listed popular bands amoung pearl jam fans that annoy me. and your argument does imply that i'm "supposed" to like certain bands. you said it yourself! "how can you hate the who and be a pearl jam fan?"

if i love pearl jam then you can't believe i would list those bands as annoying (and it is possible for me to find the who annoying. because.. well.. i just do.). pearl jam makes music SIMILAR to the who and blind melon. should everyone who likes neil young and blind melon like pearl jam then?

and you're right. you don't have to understand it because you can't. you aren't me. and there's no accounting for taste. i would say that you don't like good music because you like blind melon.
