Precisely! It's rather an interesting book and what PJ took from it and implemented into "Vitalogy" I thought was really great. And also old books rock! You can't beat the smell they have. That my friends is the smell of knowledge!

I can't keep gushing about Yield, but here's more: The open road has limitless possibilities. To be young and to hear this record really opens one's mind to the possibilities out there. I've been thinking a lot lately about the similarities between Yield and Into The Wild. Think about it and draw your own conclusions. Every time i see that cover, I think of "Sometimes you see a strange spot in the sky, a human being that was Given To Fly". I also think of the part in Forrest Gump when Jenny is dying and Forrest is telling her about how beautiful the sky was when he was running, not knowing where Heaven ends and the Earth began. She's like, "I wish I could have been there with you." And he goes, "You were." Gets me every time.
That cover is way better than those stupid skeletons on Riot Act or an f'n Avocado. The problem is, with the advent of CD's, cover artwork has fallen off. I mean, come on, look at the cover art of the Stone's '70s catalogue.
I gotta stop drinking coffee in the afternoons.
