Well, I'm sure y'all captain-know-it-alls have already come up with this idea and discussed it in gazillion different threads. But now U2 is actually doing it. So there ya go. There is no reason why we couldn't see it for our band this Fall :)

That's because U2 sucks; pretentious pricks with boring, simple music

I'd let the Edge hang out with me. Bono would probably be a bit much though.

I am sure they will do something special and unique again when they play Letterman next time. Last time it was the song on the show, then the concert they held and Dave webcasted it. That was cool. And then before that they played two nights in a row on Letterman for Riot Act.

That's not anything uncommon. White Stripes did something similar for Conan before.
I know we will have something special. I just thought a week of late night Pearl Jam goodness would be freakin' awesome! :D

I heard they are even 'temporarily' naming a NYC street after U2....

I liked it better when the streets had no names.

It would be awesome if PJ played a whole week on Letterman...I'd have the DVR set for sure!

I have to say that I'm just not feeling the new U2 music...the songs seem boring to me. I love their old stuff from the 80's but their new stuff...not good!

Yes, 53rd (for the week only) has been named U2 Way. ha. Pearl Jam Blvd. has a nice ring to it.....

My building is right there so I saw them today. It was great, BUT all I kept thinking was I wish it were Pearl Jam, I wish it were Pearl Jam... and then they went to eat lunch with Bloomberg. Pretty comical.

I suggest you drop everything right now and go listen to:
    1. Joshua Tree
    2. Red Rock 83

I have nothing to say about their recent stuff though :D

Yeah, U2 sucks and Bono is a tosser.

I sure as hell hope Pearl Jam NEVER shares the stage with those hacks!

Neil Young did it on Conan when Silver and Gold came out, too. It was awesome

I can't believe it, but I actually like their new record after one listen - it feels like mix between actung baby and their old stuff. It is quite a surprise.
