Yeah...

http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/i ... -festival/

Something tells me this would be good and bad.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
Butthead: Huh huh.

Enough already. Let Woodstock RIP and enjoy the great festivals already scheduled...Bonnaroo, Coachella, Sasquatch to name just three.

Well IF this thing does happen and it really is FREE then I say go for it. If they want to truly try and rekindle the true meanong of what Woodstock stood for by honoring a free event then by all means. Having some original bands would be cool too. If the show is FREE Food and drink will be priced rediculous once again though I'm sure.
I could see Dylan, the who, the Moody Blues, Santana and a nice mix of all different kinds of bands. I just hope they can tame the behavior a bit and hopefully people will be alot nicer especially if bands like Rage play. Guess we will see when the list and finally details are announced.

Definitely not Limp Bizkit. Weren't they the ones who were encouraging the fans to act up?

Blag to Woodstock 09...Do we really need another festival? I understand it's am anniversary, but come on...it just isn't necessary. Although, if PJ plays....I'm there.

i am a survivor of woodstock 99. i think that 99 had a lot of popular bands at the time but unfortunately, they all played angry and crazy music=p limp bizkit, rage, korn, kid rock, sevendust.. it was a numetal orgy pretty much.

if they made a woodstock 09 and chose from current popular and somewhat popular bands, i think it would be quite different. IMO i could see KoL, Fleet Foxes, MMJ, PJ, NIN, Janes Addiction, Jack Johnson... NIN and Janes would probably be the only ones i could see causing a bit more insanity in the crowds.

one thing that would need to change, $4 water bottles.... maybe at a concert where you see 2 bands in 4 hours a 4$ water bottle might be "reasonable" but when you are living on site for 3-4 days, it gets ridiculous. oh and so does porta potty nastiness. more porta potties require more crews to clean them out which i don't think was done enough of at 99. some of them were filled to the top!

i would go again if the lineup was anything close to what i just listed=p

I probably would only go to this if it was free and bands that don't suck play. There was a lot of shitty bands on the bill in 99, however there was also many good bands.
