when a show is sold out, will it say so on the ticketmaster page for that show?

i'm thinking yes, but i'm not sure.

I’ve tried thru out the day with different combinations of prices and number of seats. I’m getting nowhere.

    Not usually, that way they can redirect you to their scalping site.

    called TM. yep, sold out. guess the website doesn't tell you because they want you to check back. from what i read somewhere they release tickets in bundles over a period of time. i don't like my chances thou. blah!
