can you hear "Last Soldier" on the new record?

Where Into the Wild meets Pearl Jam, I could see this song or something like it on the new record. Maybe with some banjo in there? After listening to the 45' tonight it just had a feel that seemed like a departure for the band, maybe the kind of departure Stone hinted at in the RS article. Who knows. Great song!

    I love Last Soldier, such a great song. I wish they would play it more. But at the same time, I wouldnt want it on the new CD. I want all new stuff. It would just take the place of something when we already have access to it.

    i know its not realistic to think it would end up on anything coming out in the future. guess i was more enamored with the sound of the song and what it might sound like with some banjo, mandolin. just has that mellow vibe to it.

    is there a studio version of this song that we know about? i haven't heard that x-mas single, so i'm not sure if it's studio or from bridge school benefit.

    It's from the Bridge School Benefit. The band has not released a studio version.
