Glasvegas....I'm digging them

I'm off to actually buy (yes, people still buy cd's) the debut album.

    The fact that the Bare Naked Ladies post has more interest/replies than this, frightens me as far as the musical tastes of todays PJ fans :o

    I really like them too. Them, Frightened Rabbit, Franz Ferdinand, Mogwai to name a few...some really good Scottish bands out there.

    i need to listen to this album all the way through...i've been listening to it on shuffle w/ other cds at work and i'm still undecided about it. i really like some songs and others just completely throw me off...i can't quite figure it out?! i feel like the singer gets a bit whiney at times :?

    I agree.....He sounds whiney at times, but I think it's that rockabilly style he has. I honestly feel like he would have had a great voice for the 50's. I've given it two full listens so far and now find myself going to just certain tracks. For a debut album it is pretty good though (worth the $7 at best buy) and can't wait to see them at Webster Hall at the end of the month 8-)

    i saw them opening for Muse & Kasabian show in the summer....really didnt get it. not my thing, the whole 80's sound, the lyrics, lots of it keeps me from liking them. just cant see it.
