... on DVD

Turns out the dinner venue has a digital projector in the room. Rock on!

Only thing is, I have to bring some kind of audio device. Anyone know a good (fairly small) device that can be plugged into a digital projector and produce reasonable sound?

By the way, our first dance will be Can't Help Falling In Love from Las Vegas '00

Yeah - I've been looking at docking stations and the like... We'll be using a laptop to play DVDs and to use iTunes with... Now all we need is some noise 8-)

    That's a great idea!

    Nice first dance too ;)
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

  • so wait the digital projector in the room isnt hooked up to a receiver or an amp with speakers?

Unfortunately not, no. It's normally a conference room and the regular users apparently accept shitty sound quality from the laptop that's hooked up to the projector. So we've got to bring our own speakers if we want decent sound :|

Now that's interesting. We also did the table naming thing (the band is what originally brought us together), but didn't do the singing a verse thing. :) We had a fairly small wedding, so I think we only used about 10 song titles.

Great choice of song...got married in October 2002 and had that same song as our first dance! :D
41 PJ shows from 1995 to 2023...plus 6 EV solo shows.  St. Paul and Austin shows for 2023.
  • i worked for the media services department of a university, so you can pm me if you still need suggestions. it would be helpful to know the approx. size of the room and the caliber of sound you're after. if it was my wedding, i'd want something with some PUNCH!

you know...you could always "buy" something and then you might not like it after the wedding and might wanna return it. ;)
If nothing is everything, I'll have it all
