Let's just say, in the UK version, things are never quite cleared up.0

I watched the other night's episode but I was kind of disappointed. Maybe I just need to see more of the show.
By the end of the episode, Sam arrested somebody for murder that he knew was going to murder someone else in the future. So the assumption was that he prevented that murder (and others) from taking place and he'd done a good thing.
I guess that would be true but it always seems to me in shows about time travel that one of the rules to be observed is that history shouldn't be tampered with. Unless that's why he's been sent back in time? I dunno, the story wasn't quite interesting enough to work it out."The stars are all connected to the brain."0 -
Or is he sent back in time? Life on Mars isn't straightforward sci-fi.0

I would recommend that people find a way to get hold of the BBC series. Okay, so some of the references and dialect might be a bit different, but it is superior, particularly in the treatment of the subtle nuances of the relationship between Sam and Annie.0

Don't get too attached as the ratings are not good. It's a good show. But it's hard for good shows to get good ratings.I miss igotid880 -

While Harvey Keitel, Jason O’Mara and Michael Imperioli of “Life on Mars” were joining labor leaders Monday in Astoria, Queens, urging New York State to extend its tax credits for film and television production, ABC was canceling their series, Variety reported. “Life on Mars,” adapted from a popular British television series of the same name, starred Mr. O’Mara, as a New York police detective who is hit by a car and believes that he has awakened in the 1970s. The American version has never quite taken off with viewers, even after it was moved to a time slot following the science-fiction serial “Lost.” Variety said ABC’s version of “Life on Mars” could end with a finale that would resolve its central time-travel mysteries."The stars are all connected to the brain."0 -
Haven't heard of that show, but that's the year of my high school graduation too. I love watching shows that are suppose to depic that time period for the same reason as you...to see how well they do it.
I know "That 70's Show" does a lousy job!Save room for dessert!0 -

I was gonna post this yesterday. At least they're going to let it have an ending. ABC learned from their cancellations of Pushing Daises and Dirty Sexy Money.I miss igotid880
