While Harvey Keitel, Jason O’Mara and Michael Imperioli of “Life on Mars” were joining labor leaders Monday in Astoria, Queens, urging New York State to extend its tax credits for film and television production, ABC was canceling their series, Variety reported. “Life on Mars,” adapted from a popular British television series of the same name, starred Mr. O’Mara, as a New York police detective who is hit by a car and believes that he has awakened in the 1970s. The American version has never quite taken off with viewers, even after it was moved to a time slot following the science-fiction serial “Lost.” Variety said ABC’s version of “Life on Mars” could end with a finale that would resolve its central time-travel mysteries.
Haven't heard of that show, but that's the year of my high school graduation too. I love watching shows that are suppose to depic that time period for the same reason as you...to see how well they do it.
I know "That 70's Show" does a lousy job!

I was gonna post this yesterday. At least they're going to let it have an ending. ABC learned from their cancellations of Pushing Daises and Dirty Sexy Money.
