I was wondering if anyone knows if Eddie has given up smoking. I remember that he went on that cleanse awhile back, that included smoking cessation, but was wondering if it stuck or not. Im hopin.... ;)

    though it generally doesn't matter, i do find at least some level of curiosity as do others...perhaps not you...if you don't care about a certain subject matter, then move along to the next thread.

    I was wondering the same thing. I'm hoping he threw the smokes out for good. He's got to save those vocal cords and his overall health. :?

    This is starting to feel like a freakin boy band fan board.. Why bother even saying anything? so tired of the smoking thing.. there is no proof that smoking ruins your voice anyhow (plenty of talented singers smoke) And obviously, people who smoke don't live under rock and know just as much about smoking as you do. Everyone's aunt or grandpa died from smokes.. by now no one needs to be told the blatantly obvious

    i mean holy christ, what if someone talked about all your shitty habits online? Just because you don't smoke doesn't make you the smartest bastid that ever roamed this side of Marlboro country.You damn kids With your hoodie number logging threads and vedward hair and smoking threads. Not to bust the original poster's balls, its many threads before this that have built that wall of hatred.... Unfortunately I think the pool has been deeply condensed and now the chances of original and interesting topics are gonna be fewer and far between ;)

    I think Eddie knows if smoking is messing up his voice. I doubt it is.

    Ed's not Mark Lanegan. If you haven't heard the difference in his vocals over the past few years you might want your ears checked. It affects different people different ways. Sinatra never had a problem. Bob Dylan... well, he wasn't that great to begin with but he's worse now than ever.

    Actually, smoking does trash your voice- thats why at times Eddie has even said he needs to quit. And by the way, I dont think mark lanegan or sinatra ever had to SCREAM and GROWL quite as much as Eddie does on PJ tunes. Im sorry, but thinking that smoking for 30 years isn't going to effect someone's vocals is like thinking that global warming isn't really happening- it defies logic.

    yes...that's why he needs to stop..he has kids now...i'm sure he's going to want to be around to see them grow!

    i smoked for over ten years and i was able to quit when my daughter was about 5 years old...it was hard as fuck but i did it without gum or a patch or pills or any of that other shit..just good old will power!!

    but that shit ain't easy!!

    good for you!! i'm struggling with it myself right now, but i cut down SIGNIFICANTLY. i so want to quit so that when i have kids, i will be able to run around and play with them. i ain't no spring chicken no mo'. :D
