Stone Gossard will perform two special even evenings of music on March 8th (10:00pm) and 9th (9:00pm) at Seattle’s Can Can in the historic Pike Place Market. Alongside Stone will be notable Northwest artists, Barb Ireland, Hans Teuber, Keith Lowe, Steve Moore, aka Stebmo, DJ Bean One as well as other special guests.

Tickets are on sale now for $20 and can be purchased online via the Can Can website (http://www.thecancan.com) or by calling 206.652.0832.

Stone will be interviewed on 107.7 the End tonight, Fri 3/6 around 5pm...I am sure he will be plugging these shows!

Just bought my tickets...I'm taking my two friends from Germany...I don't think they know how awesome this is!

Fun and intimate show. The Can Can is very small. Around 100 people maybe. It was a unique experience and if anyone can make it tonight they should.

Yeah, that place was tiny. Pretty fun night. Should have known Stone was gonna let his funk out -- I can honestly say I've never heard Hank Williams performed with a DJ spinning the beat! Stone was ably backed by a rotating cast of amazing musicians playing everything from the clarinet and sax to piano and b3 to stand-up bass and trombone -- plus a DJ to boot! Barb Ireland sang with Stone on almost every track and even took a few for herself; their voices compliment each other very well. Going back tonight. If you get tickets, try to get there a little early. I showed up 30 minutes early and it was standing room only -- which still ain't bad; the place is no bigger than a large coffee shop. You just won't get a table and a seat.

Side story: I was about to take a left off 1st onto Pike when I saw a big tow truck pretty much blocking the entire street, so I went down to the next block, turned left and found parking. As I come walking up Pike, I see Stone kind of loitering out on the sidewalk. I gave thought to wandering over to say "Hi" when I noticed that it was his car getting towed! He was obviously dealing with that and I didn't want to be a bother. He explained later in the show that his electric car evidently didn't like the cold weather cause it died on him. I'm sure he had no trouble hitching a ride home.

Stone talked about the Can can shows and also spoke about the Reissue of Ten (worked on mostly by Ed and Jeff) and also mentioned the new album coming out later this year. He said "I cannot tell you when it will be out, but we are well on are way to finishing the album."
