it bugs me how on the live stuff, lately (last 4-5 years) he at times isn't singing the chorus lines with as much gusto.... note especially on the chorus before the guitar solo... he just doesn't sing THROUGH the line... a minor quibble... but one that unfortunately keeps this version out of the Hall of Fame.

i'm sorry, i've talked it over with the judges, and the decision is final.

greatest version of alive ever?? no way dude, it's good, but there are a dozen that I would put in front of that..

OK...that was pretty good. It's cause of the crowd. I remember watching some of that webcast, too. Very touching the way Ed almost cracks when he says "Thanks for being safe." You know that must have been a huge hurdle for them to play a festival of that size again.

Nothing beats the early early performances of Alive. Ed was so into it...

One of the main reasons I got into PJ was because I was so blown away by Alive on SNL.

I like any 2005+ version of alive. I dont think that was the best, but it was good. The best ones ive heard were grand rapids and philly 05.

Indy 2003 is the best one I have ever heard. Most intense since the "glory days".

Seattle 2 in 2k was so emotion packed it has to be tops, though.
