I think my brain is about to explode

ok, well it's not really... I hope... but I'm having a mini and temporary meltdown. I've 4 interviews lined up for the next three days and I'm starting to get confused. The 4th, which I've just scheduled for Friday morning, seems to be for a job as a mortgage adviser, something I know nothing about. The phone was breaking up when she spoke to me so I could only ask her to repeat once... I presumed all the info would be in the email... and it kinda was... but it just makes ZERO sense :oops:

Anyway, no more interviews this week.

Most law schools bring employers to campus for on-campus interviewing of students. They set aside a specific time frame for it. Last year, I did 27 interviews in 2 weeks. It was fuckin nuts. Good luck!

that sounds horrible... I think I did something like that when I lived in London... did about 3 interviews a day... can't do any more than two here cos they're all in different locations and you need a couple of hours to get to them... more if you're going from one to the other. I know once ya get used to it, it's not SO bad... but trying to organise them all and fit them in somewhere... well I'm not the most organised of people so it can get confusing although I have it all organised... my head's just telling me that I don't :shock: I'm just gonna focus on one at a time anyway... fuck it. The one on Thursday isn't concrete anyway since we haven't arranged a time or anything... so I may well end up having Thursday off to focus on the two on Friday That would be nice.

Thanks though... the one I'd really like is the last one... so I'm gonna treat the other 2/3 as practice ones for that

Nope, no interview today I've had a few over the past couple of weeks... 4 or 5 but none yet this week... one tomorrow, one possibly Thursday and 2 on Friday.

thanks... the 4th one has just been confirmed so no day off Thursday... but that one's definitely an interesting job and offers great pay with FANTASTIC benefits like a chill out area :? free massages, plenty of nights out and free breakfast :shock: and it's a REAL company too... plenty of info about it online... so I might work my ass off for that one too.

One down!

It was just with an agency and the job they contacted me about, I knew I couldn't take anyway (6.30am start every second week... which I'd kinda like finishing at 1.30pm :oops: but unfortunately the trains wouldn't get me there that early) so I thought I'll go for the interview anyway... went very well... she said she's no doubt I could do the job standing on my head and she'll contact me if they change the start time or anything else comes up... which they all say anyway... but it's good interview practice

I've already done my research for interview no. 2 so early night tonight... and the interview isn't til 4.30 so I'll be wide awake by then. After looking up the company, it's also one I'd seriously like to get so here's hoping it goes well.

Yep it is I'm soooo looking forward to it... it's sooo big and we're gonna have soooooooooo much space and it's maybe the first house I'll have lived in since I moved from home, that actually has a useable garden and my favourite thing to do in the summer is just to sit outside with a book and a beer.

Thanks dunk the one yesterday was... the one today :? well let's just say I walked out of there shaking my head :(

Some other guy showed me into the interview room, he was nice and chatty and gave me a sheet of paper and a packet of markers and told me to draw a picture representing me and my life :shock: :shock: :shock: .

So after a minute thinking about nothing but beer, I decided to draw the couch I was on and the room I was in and a little smiley stickman me sitting on the couch I drew the table but painted it yellow cos it needed colour.. and on the table there was a book, a camera and a rugby ball. I even put the sun in the top right hand corner... cos that's what 5 year olds pictures look like, right? Seriously what the fuck?

I was seeing the funny side though, So then the interviewer came in and I was like 'awww I was just getting into that' but he didn't seem to want jokes so that threw me and I got nervous. BUT every question he asked were on the list I wrote down and prepared answers for, so I'd perfect answers for everything but answered them nervously... so we'll see :? He even took my picture at the end and said he'll share it with his co-directors and I said 'what, I can't take it home and put it on the fridge or send it to my parents?' he just smiled :roll:

Nope, fucking ADMIN. I knew it was gonna be a weird interview process but that's simply not fair... I don't have an artistic bone in my body... he can ask me to TELL him about my life... but I can't fucking draw it. Now he's probably gonna have it fucking psychoanalysed or something. I'm fucking pissed off and I've two interviews tomorrow and need to start thinking how fucking great I am again

well this is a company that's just taking off... and run by a 26 year old multi millionaire entrepeneur who was doing the interview... he seemed nice and it was a nice place to work... but seriously... next time they ask me to do something stupid like that, I'm walking out. Employers have all the power at the mo and they're seriously fucking taking the piss out of people like me who just want a fucking job.

I've two tomorrow and after the interview I dropped my cv into another agency and they asked me to come in Monday morning. I'm getting sooooo sick of this.

you should have drawn something totally mental and esoteric in the hope he thought you were a genius... like drawing 3 penguins each with a totally random object next to them (an anvil, a lymph gland and a cactus) and then in the space above them in skywriting you could have written "even in monochrome ideas appear in colour"

or you could have handed him an empty sheet back and said "there isnt a sheet of paper big enough to allow me to draw a picture that represents my life"

excellent... I wish I'd thought of the second one... I couldn't draw a penguin to save my life... they'd think I was drawing a two legged whale or something... but I guess that'd work too.

Or maybe they give you the ten minutes to come up with a good reason why you SHOULDN'T draw anything... I was probably the only retard who fell for it
