There's nothing better than sitting on the beach with a cooler of the champagne of beers watching the sun start to set. Just the aesthetic of the bottle alone is great. Nothing wrong with this beer at all. I enjoy myself a good beer as much as the next one, but just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's not a good beer.
High Life, Pabst, and Schmidt are my brands of choice. I am rather fond of more expensive beers, too, but I guess I do those as more a of a special occasion-type thing.
Plus, we northern Minnesotans drink so much beer that there's no way we can afford the expensive shit.
Yessss...
I'm quite partial to Leinenkugels
And you can't go wrong with a good Sand Creek.

I became a fan of Leinies during my drunken pilgrimage to Lambeau, a few years back.
Remember the earlier High Life ads about guys who couldn't do typical "man stuff" like backing a trailer? Butter on a steak? Those were some good ads!

i have contemplated getting a tattoo of the high life girl. i usually go for the darker beers, but i love the high life. awesome thread! why didnt i think of it?
I gotta say it.....Drinking Miller is like smoking shwag......same for PBR...if you got money for college tuition you got money to atleast move up to Rolling Rock or Busch
But it's not about having money. My point with this was saying that just because it's cheap people think it's inferior, when I don't think that's true.
I also love that you brought up Rolling Rock, when somebody here already pointed out that Rolling Rock used to be a cheap beer too, until they raised the price and it all of a sudden became "cool" to drink it. The product didn't change, just the price went up. Great example of people letting marketing companies make their decisions for them.
We use to get the bucket of rocks in the bars.Way back...I mean way back. Can't stand Bud.As for pricey beers...I do like the Fat Angels that come from Burlington ,Vermont...runs aout 7.99 a six pack.Might be a little cheaper at the brewery...they've got a few others.
