The team looks good this year I must say. Ryan and Prince and the rest of the boys are ready to go again. Pitching is always a issue but I think that will work itself out. Go Brew Crew!!!

i love the optimism of a new baseball season.

the anticipation, the speculation....the genuine excitement.

and then reality sets in haha
    Nice shirt.

Opening day up here is just a drunkfest it's pretty bad. 50,000 inside and another 25,000 in the parking lots. And it's on a Friday, its gonna be a long weekend for the cops.

If Gallardo and Para don't take major steps it could be a long year for Brewer fans.

Like I said the pitching will work itself out. And were so loaded up with players a trade could happen in the middle of the season.
  • and in july....when the brew-crew is 20 games under .500....

i will be more than happy to bump up this thread!!!!!!

50,000 Brewer fans? Not a chance.
Pretty sure more than half of Miller Park will be sporting Cubbie blue.

But yeah, I'd still watch what you say. Those Wisconsin-ites don't like them fancy Illinois folk. :D
You'll be talking trash and the next thing you know you get hit by a 3 lb. sausage or wheel of cheese from 6 rows back.

Gapped tooth yokel in a Brett Favre jersey: "Go back where you came from! We don't take kindly to you Illinois people, with your fancy talk, and your fancy hygiene.." *Takes a big slug from a moonshine bottle with 'XXX' on the side as others cheer and raise their pitchforks in the air*.

Careful Speedy! Oh, and you also have to be extra careful because if you offend someone, odds are they have a few cousins nearby (at the game, working at the game, married to the person you offended). They'll get you good!

You better hope Gagne doesn't actually make the team.
Why did they bring him back.

So what's the latest on Sheets? I haven't really heard any news in a while on him.

What steps does Gallardo have to take? The dude is stupid good. Also I do remember last year getting teased for thinking this would be a good team..oh well.

He's 22 years old, has won 9 MLB games and pitched in 5 games last year.
I think he still has some work to do.

alright i know that i am an irrational fan about Yovani Gallardo (I've had his jersey for 2 years, and when i wore it to game 1 in Philly their fans were taunting me but also couldn't believe that someone had it), but this guy is sick. For a Brewer fan (even when we had CC) I have never been more confident in a pitcher on the hill than when he's going. Even in Game 1 of the first Brewer playoff game in 25 years he was doing well (no ERs) until the defense imploded behind him. If you go back and look he would have gotten out of a bases loaded no-out jam if Mike Cameron made a catch, and he should have hit a homer in the game giving the crew a 1-0 lead in the 3rd (anyone at the game thought it was gone off his bat but it hit the wind)...oh well.

Hey Patrick, how do you think we are shaping up thus far in the Spring Training?

You know I've been so busy that I haven't payed a whole lot of attention to spring training. But from what I've read and seen on the news. They seem to be coming together well. The hitting hasn't left and Prince is out running the rest of the team in workouts. lol I think he is gonna have a big year along with Ryan and maybe Hart. Prince is relaxed now that he is under contract and has said he just wants to play ball. Pitching is gonna be interesting but it always is. The goal was to make the playoffs last year and they did that and even won a game. They know what they have to do and I think they are ready. It's gonna be another fun season. :)
