Car question?

Ok car people!
I have a Camry that I use as a daily driver. I rarely do any hard driving with it. Plus I live in San Diego so the weather usually isn't a huge factor....
I have to get new tires...
Should I buy cheaper tires and save money?
Or
Go with the name brand tire for more money?
Is there really a significant difference between the cheaper tires and the expensive tires?
Keep in mind, I drive a Camry to work on San Diego roads...It's not a Porsche. Money is a concern, but I'm more concerned about getting a shit tire that could potentially be dangerous.

My friend was going to see Eddie last night. Since he was in Vegas, I gave him 5 Grand to gamble with. I told him I wanted it all to go on Black. Bastard! PhillyCrownOfThorns-11-2-12
Yeah I'm doing that now....I'm getting a lot of mixed reviews. It seems like there are so many variables with tires (Weather/Driver/Car Type).
Thanks
On my car, I got a cheap off brand set,and they are wearing just fine... I've had them for a couple years and drive everyday.
On my wife's car, I splurged for better Michelins and they are holding up well too (with a harder driver)...
I can't remember brand names, but check for off-brands made by good manufacturers. When I lived with my parents, my dad had a good tire guy who would get tires made by the big name manufacturers, but were a "cheaper" name. Those always saved some money and he claims they were basically the same tires.

This is a good way to go. You can also buy them online and have them delivered to the shop you want to use and just have the shop put the new tires on and balance them, will save you some cash.
I take the 15 to the 52 to the 805! It's a jungle out there!
