Songs that would have fit on another album

Hey so I'm relatively new here. Long time lurker and had a user name on the old boards. It's pretty much the best place to get news on the band. Anyway joined the 10 club back in August for the first time and just pre-ordered the deluxe edition, so I decided to get into this board a bit.

Anyway I remember when Avocado was released and people were thinking what song could've fit on another album e.g Comatose on Vs. Might be cool to see if people find another song could've fit on another album. Ok so I'll start:

Ten:

Dissident and Animal would've fit easily onto this. They both have a similar feel production wise where as I feel the rest of Vs is more raw.........hopefully like the reissue of ten will be :)

Vs:

Betterman: Starting out in my early Pearl Jam days I always expected to hear it on this album. I have no idea why. It just fits in my head for some reason.

Brain of J: As hard hitting as Go and Leash in my opinion. Has the melody to back it up too

Vitalogy:

Nothin as it Seems: Has that dark tone to it that fits with the tone of the rest of the album.

W.M.A: Sort of that weird sound and experimental type vocals that could have suited the album.

No Code:

Tremor Christ: To be honest almost any song could have fitted here as it's such a diverse album. This for me could have slotted in right between Present Tense and Mankind

All Those Yesterdays: Could have easily swap albums with Around the Bend as the soothing closer

Yield:

Go: Possibly my favourite PJ song. It's polished enough that it could be considered past their grunge days and powerful enough that it could have suited this album.

Im Open: I have no idea why I think this would fit but it's experimental in the same kind of way as Red dot and Push Me Pull Me

Binaural:

Not For You: Hard enough opener like Breakerfall that it could have easily slotted in to the first three tracks

Off He Goes: For the middle of album along with Of The Girl and Thin Air. Bit like Betterman off of Vs I always expect this to be on the album when listening

Parachutes: Slow, easy and mournful

Riot Act:

Soon Forget: Eddie's Uke stage was hitting full throttle here so I think this would have slotted in well

Grievance: I go in and out of liking this song in the exact same way as Ghost and Cropduster

Avocado:

Spin the Black Circle: Hard, rough and jagged vocals. Just like 3/4's of Avocado

Blood: See above

Hope that was interesting enough. Don't crucify me for putting some of your favourites on least favourite albums. Anyway, glad to be here :)

  • I think Avocado is a little meek for something like Spin the Black Circle.
  • All Those Yesterdays would have been a great fit on No Code. :)

The only think I really think that could be switched is Betterman on VS.

Of the ones you suggested, the only one that i really agree with is Tremor Christ on No Code. A couple of your other suggestions could work, but I don't think that they necessarily fit any better than the album they are already on.

NAIS on Vitalogy and Go on Yield wouldnt' work at all IMO.
