Gretsch Renown Maple or Orange County?

I'm buying a new kit soon, and I'm leaning towards Gretsch Renown Maple. There's also a great deal on an Orange County kit, and there's also the beautiful Pearl Masters MCX's.
these kits are all in the price range of $1,000-1,400
Any tips?
