Chimp attacks

I feel real sorry for the lady that was attcked, but why are people allowed a Chimp as an animal. That makes no sense to me. If these animals were kept in the wild or the zoo maybe things like this would not happen.

    I wouldn't have thought a chimpanzee would be that powerful but I guess so, yikes. The woman lost her eyes and jaw!

    both of her hands were ripped off and her face was mauled. An adult chimp has the strength of about 10 male adults. I Thought that 911 call was one of the most chilling things I've ever heard. People should not have these as pets.I heard another story where this lady use to let her chimp pick her teeth for her until he ripped out one of her teeth. :o:o

    Chimps in the wild would be considered by some as very passive-agressive.....their diet is more like ours than the other greater primates....as in they will and do eat meat. One of the savagest natural spectacles is a group of chimps hunting down monkeys for food.....brutal...savage beyond anything Hollywood imagined of Bonzo

    I don't think they should be allowed to be kept at 'pets'. They're a wild and (potentially) dangerous creature. Too many people think they're cute and just exist for our entertainment. Most people wouldn't own a tiger as a pet so why is a chimp anymore acceptable? :| I personally don't think it is.
    Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

    ... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

    There are fewer in the wild because they get hunted to extinction. That's what sickens me.

    ....mostly because rich Asian old men want to bang young chicks after eating soup made with the tiger's penis...or the hundreds of other tiger parts used in Chinese traditional medicines.

    I heard from a zookeeper that you can't keep a chimp domesticated once its an adult because will battle to become the alpha man. Apparently all the TV chimps are given over to zoo's and such once they reach a certain age because they turn violent and want to be the king of the castle.
    I can't go the library anymore, everyone STINKS!!

    Chimps are 7 times stronger than human beings. They can rip you to shreads like nothing. When being attacked you are supposed to lay on your stomach and pray they don't flip you over. They will try to rip your feet, hands, face, and genitals off.

    Gorillas are much more peaceful though. I would rather be attacked by a gorilla than a chimp. Chimps spend more time in trees so I think they are about as strong as gorillas anyways.
