Ripped off or what

How fucked up is this, a couple of days ago i went into a bong shop and got talking to the lady behind the counter, I was looking to buy something cos im a pot head(not that im proud of it) and she recomended a vapouriser, she gives it the hard sell telling me she had one and they were amazing, so i gave her the £60 and took one home, plugged it in and it didnt work, even the LED on the front didnt light up, So i took it back to the shop today and she wouldnt give me a refund WTF!, because its had an alligal substance in it when i tryed it for the first time its deamed as not resaleable, How fucked up is that. :x

    Yeah i could do that but its made in china so thats going to be a big task,but an option.

    she doesnt, when she said have you tried it i said yes, i later in the convertation pointed out to her that i didnt say what i used in it she just presumed.

    I know its not a great deal of money but its just the point that she sold me something that didnt work.
    Think il just buy a regular plain old bong next time.

    Nothing wrong with being a pothead ;) I was proud of it back in the day... though I don't do it anymore.

    It sucks that it doesn't work. Those things are pretty nice when they do work.

    when she says
    "it's designed to smoke a variety of things with"

    you say
    "exactly and it didn't do it, so how can I have 'used it' when it never worked to begin with".

    Thats what i said, but she said it was working before it left the shop, she brought it out from the back all boxed up and gave it to me so its bull shit, she seen me coming, anyway im going to report them to trading standards,Barstards!

    not for nothing, but you should have been clued in at that price
    vaporizers are a LOT more expensive than that

    all you can do is warn others about the dishonest seller.

    Did you pay with a credit card? If so, tell your CC company that they sold you a product that doesn't work. ...and as far as you're concerned, you use it to smoke tobacco, since it's easier on your lungs that way. The CC company should be able to handle this, as long as that's how you paid.
