Pearl Jam Cruise
Saw this on CNN and it immediately made me think about how cool it would be for Pearl Jam fans to take over a cruise ship and have the guys play a concert every night! Might be the only way to get through all their songs now:

The short of it is that a band and it's fans rent a cruise ship for a few days/week, the band performs, the fans hang out, everyone's happy. Who's with me?

that expression never ceases to make me laugh.
i've been on 2 cruises in my life; once as a child with my family to bermuda...had a great time! then, as an adult.....our honeymoon along the coast of alaska....spectacular! cruises can be absolutely amazing trips! a pearl jam cruise would most definitely be fun! however, i just don't forsee it happening..... :P
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow
One question though...Would Boom be sailing the ship??
I went on a cruise in 05 called the Rockboat, a carnival cruise "rented" by Sister Hazel(southern rock band). We were originally to go to the Cayman Islands but the cruise was rerouted to Cozumel for shitty weather. I have to admit that it was pretty fuckin sweet. I was turned on to Marc Broussard, he was sick live. They had Gavin Degraw as well, before he sold his song to that One Tree Hill show.
There was even a meet and greet for a few of the bands there....I anyone is considering going on the Rockboat, I would vouch for it.....If you are into PJ and they did this, it would be well worth the money. I'd pay a few G's just to hang on a cruise with the band and maybe get a chance to meet one of the members....
There were pro musicians just mingling about jamming out with the fans on their acoustics
Would he?
Won't let the darkness swallow me.
I'd be up for it, but if I somehow ended up on the boat in that article I'd jump off and take my chances with the sharks... the thought of 5 days on a ship with a bunch of Christian music lovers literally makes me shudder with horror... talk about a nightmare!
They need to do this someday.
I would much rather go on the Jamcruise with Les Claypool.

there are way more horror stories than actual horrors on cruises...they're very safe

a line needs to be drawn at some point, and thankfully it's drawn right here:

leave the concert cruises to John Mayer and DMB,...

Yeah, gorgeous college girls that do too many drugs and drink too much, all wearing tiny bikinis and competing for girls gone wild style camera time... sounds horrible.
Much better to be on a PJ cruise with 90% other guys, all pale and hairy, sunning on the deck.
Or PJ People for a week???
Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin' at me
That is a very offensive expression. Please stop using it.
I've never been on a cruise, but for PJ I'd make it happen. Just let us know when we need to make reservations!
just booked one last night...... away we go.....................
