I say they are going to hit all areas of the us in 09 just not alot of cities in each location. Then in 2010 they will go all out world tour and such

    Please forgive the next question,
Have they ever toured consecutive years?
Depends how you define touring. Technically, they toured in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. So this could be the 5th year running. But if your definition of a tour is only a tour of the US, then it is a different story.

    what about '03 and '04? :)
'04 is the year that I don't officially count as "touring" ... but I would understand why some people would disagree.

I hear ya! But what was there - 7 shows? I guess there was Benaroya and a Showbox show too plus a couple of other shows with short sets. Stlil only half the size of the 2008 tour, which was about as small as a tour can get IMO ...

caught the Reading, Toledo, and Grand Rapids shows on the VFC tour as well as Benaroya. '04 was a good PJ tour year,...

  • OK. I emailed Matt Cord of Philadelphia's WMMR and asked him what are the chances PJ plays the Spectrum and he said there is a "very good chance." He also said he thinks it maybe multiple dates late summer and an announcement could come next month.

    Fingers crossed.

Born and raised in NYC, but if the guys play Seattle I think Im going to have to make a trip especially now that my childhood hero, Ken Griffey Jr. is back in the city. I wish it was a trip back to '98; Pearl Jam making records with O'Brien and Griffey tearin shit up with the Mariners.

Interesting. So far we've been hearing September ... now we hear "late summer" ... maybe this thing will kick off in August!

    Thanks for posting that.

mmm.. I don't really want to go back to the East Coast so soon.. I hope they do West Coast shows since I've never been.
Now KNOWING if they are is the problem though.. because if they only do East then of course I'll be there :D

Summer doesn't finish until late September btw.

I thought you see EVERY show on EVERY tour? You are actually going to skip a whole leg of shows if they play the east coast and the west coast? I don't believe you

I just want a show at Post-Gazette Pavilion in early September. It's not too late to dream, is it?

Come to Pittsburgh, Pearl Jam, before it gets cold! :)

I don't think I can afford 2 legs in 1 year (I haven't so far), and if I can, I'd rather shoot for down-under (or Europe) than somewhere I was just 8 months ago.
  • wow, you guys are really kickass! thanks so much for all the input. i don't care where they go, as long as it's within driving distance i'm there. out of curiosity, do they ever go to alaska? i'm going there in july and it would be so amazing to see them there. of course, seattle is just a hop away from there and it would be beyond amazing to see them THERE.
