Stone Gossard's Largo Shows - Postponed...
Sorry... Stone's gigs at Largo have been postponed.
I will let everyone know what's up when I head up there on the 28th to catch John Doe.
Bogus...
...
Hey all you Stone Gossard Fans in Los Angeles and vicinity...
Stone Gossard will be doing 2 small (and I mean small) gigs at the Largo at the Coronet in Los Angeles on March 11 and 12.
Largo is my favorite spot in Los Angeles to listen to live music. The policy of Largo is 'Respect the Stage'... your cell phones must be off... no texting bullshit while there is a performer on stage. No talking during a performance... if you have to talk about your bullshit mundane life with your simpleton friend who really doesn't give a shit about your mundane life... go out to the lobby and cackle al you want.
This policy gives the feeling that you are being entertained in your living room or the living room of the artist onstage.
Here are the specifics:
Who: Stone Gossard and Friends
Where: Largo at the Coronet (La Cienega Blvd. one block North of the Beverly Center)
When: March 11 and March 12
How Much: $25.00 U.S.
Tickets can be purchased on the Largo Phone line (310) 855-0350
Recording Policy:No Cameras!!! No Recording devices!!!
More info at http://www.largo-la.com
You will be removed from the tiny, tiny theater if you violate any of the policies... especially cell phone violations (and good fucking riddance!!!)
...
So, go check out Stone's little gig next month. I'll be there.
...
P.S.
If you want to save on parking (if you can't find a spot on the street... because you won't find a spot on the street) I park at the parking lot across the street from the Beverly Center and walk the 2 blocks to the theater. Cost is about $1.00 U.S. as opposed to the $8.00 you'll pay at the parking structure next door to the theater.
I will let everyone know what's up when I head up there on the 28th to catch John Doe.

Hail, Hail!!!
There are some cool shows there....Ben Lee w/ Mandy Moore!
I have yet to go to the new location...it was such a hassle to get into the old location unless you had a dinner reservation!
Aimee Mann plays there.. so do the kids from Nicklecreek (including special guests such as Jackson Browne, Fiona Apple and Gillian Welch). And if you get a chance to catch Jon Brion... do it. Flight Of The Conchords, too.
Hail, Hail!!!
I wonder if it's insane to drive down for this??
Stone is going to be doing his new songs? (I would give my BF's left Nut to hear Cadillac live)
Whatever you are, be a good one --Lincoln
I'm hoping that Stone gets a good turn out... that'll hopefully mean more future bookings at my favorite music club.
Hail, Hail!!!
Looks like a really cool place....
Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin' at me
I'd prefer this to the smoking bans everyone in the world is enacting. Cell phones are far more annoying than the smokiest bar I've ever been in.
Gonna call up my cousin who lives in Los Angeles & see if he can make it next month!
It's almost a year that I was in Los Angeles experiencing thy Vedder Solo!
"You damn well can't lick the system, but you can sure give it a good fondeling."-sleazy estate man(Hugh Laurie on A bit of Fry and Laurie)
"Judas Priest on a two stroke moped!"(Stephen Fry)
yeah cause that second hand cell phone wringing really smells on your clothes the next day and can cause you health problems. other than your ears bad ring tones don't really affect you much.
The Largo Theater holds 250 seats.
Hail, Hail!!!
I went to a concert not long ago where the guy in front of me blocked almost the entire show becos he took about 900 pics with his phone, as well as videos. Surrounding me were dozens of people chattering nonstop on their cell phones, talking about where they were meeting for drinks, how to get laid, what joey told ricky about bobby and can you BELIEVE he said that? I can wash my clothes after, I can't get that show back.
I will let everyone know what's up when I head up there on the 28th to catch John Doe.
