A neat thought I had about this Ten reissue...

...and apologies if someone else thought it out loud here, there's only so far into a search I'm willing to go.

So, we all know that Ten is being reissued. And, we know that the possibility of some '09 shows is there. Which made me wonder...

Do you think that it's possible, given PJ's penchant for mixing set lists up, that we could see Ten performed live in its entirety as a set? Would you want to see it? Would they want to repeat this every night of the tour, or make it a one-time-only special, likely for a hometown gig?

Personally, even though it's becoming a little cliche to play full albums in concert, I think Ten would be killer this way. Do it as the encore, run through awesome track after awesome track, tear the fucking roof off with Release.

Discuss.

Eddie wouldn't be able to handle it, and it'd be better as a one-off gig instead of after an encore.
    Thanks EPOTTSIII!

Hey, who knows? They did it for Avocado in 06 in Torino Italy. Pretty cool to hear. honestly though, they play most of those songs regularly during most of their shows so I would lean toward the no side.

As mentioned, Eddie would have a hard time getting through ten in its entirety. Not sure if I would like to hear him try either.

Im very excited about this re-release and I have big expectiations going. Brother Baby!!

One thing I would like to hear them do is give 'just a girl' and 'brother' a shot on the next tour. Would be interesting to hear the 09 interpretation of those songs :)

    03/13/92 - Nachtwerk: Munich, Germany [90m]
    attendance: 900
set: Once, Even Flow, Alive, Why Go, Black, Jeremy, Oceans, Porch, Garden, Deep, Release
enc: Leash, (Outshined)/State of Love and Trust, Munich Improv/Rockin' in the Free World, I've Got a Feeling
notes: This is the only concert where all songs on Ten are played straight through in order and PJ is in a very "up" mood. Ed even notes when the vinyl gets flipped and side two begins. This is the final European show of this tour and neither the crowd nor PJ can seem to get enough tonight.

My friend was going to see Eddie last night. Since he was in Vegas, I gave him 5 Grand to gamble with. I told him I wanted it all to go on Black. Bastard! PhillyCrownOfThorns-11-2-12

It would certainly make for a legendary show. It would be cool as a one-off kind of thing.

I think Eddie would have an easier time w/ Ten then VS (Go, Animal, Blood, Leash) or Vitalogy (Last Exit, STBC, Satan's Bed, Tremor Christ, Whipping, N4U).

This would be a cool boot to have, or release. I would like to see them maybe play all the songs over the course of one show, maybe around the official 20th anniversary show date at the Off Ramp.

reminds me of when Pink Floyd would include Dark Side in its entirety. wasn't it one of the italian shows where PJ played self-titled all the way through? i like the idea of playing Ten completely through.
