on my morning walk to work, right outside the side entrance of the NY public library. all in fancy dress, so obviously must be filming...something. i am amazed at just how much stuff apparently gets filmed in bryant park, and if not a film crew...SOMEthing is always going on there. ice skating rink, fashion shows, outdoor lending library, concerts, yoga instruction...something. so many 'happenings' in such a small little park. love it. :D

definitely not expecting to see arquette not even 10 feet away at 9:50 AM on a NYC sidewalk. i love this place.

To be honest, I've seen more celebs in NYC than in LA!

that actually does not surprise me. NYC is so much more a walking city, whereas LA is more of a driving culture. the only place i've ever seen celebs is in NYC, and always at restaurants, outdoor cafes, concerts, museums, and simply walking around the streets.

    ohhhh...i dunno. :P
hey, i live in a driving culture - altho luckily i can actually walk many places in my little village - and i work in such a walking culture, so i know them both well! and yea, i don't think ive ever had a celebrity encounter on long island. :) haha. oh wait, i did assist a hockey player once buying lucky bamboo - dracena. hahaha. however, i had no idea who the hell he was, someone told me after the fact. so yes, most 'celebrity encounters' here happen in stores.....NYC......everywhere!

i think the X man actually told me/us this. we had a little jammer meet not long after you must've visited here. i've really seen quite a few celebrities here, last summer was the most recent up until today. however, i cannot tell you the name of the guy - one of the character actors you never know their names, just always recognize...he was in some gritty cop drama, the last thing i can recall. a group of us were all out at this fantastic outdoor cafe by the boat basin on one of the partner's dimes - always fun - and the actor and his wife or GF, just hanging out at another table. lots of little stories just like that.

oh, the only celebrity encounter i can think of outside of NY was in philly....robert plant bumping into me outside a hotel bthe night before live aid. :P

cats - i only know her from films, but i do think she has some tv show she plays a psychic, tho i am not 100%.

one of the last photos i have of my father - tho not THE last one - is a GREAT pic of him, my mom and goofy at disneyland. goofy is indeed...being goofy :p...and my father was hamming it up, both my parents looked genuinely happy, and my father still looked healthy and vibrant. i may have to dig out that celebrity photo now. 8-)

was that her character's name in true romance?
i have seen her in so many flicks, but it's been such a long time.
she looked good btw. i mean sure, she was all done up/dressed for a film or photoshoot...but none the less, in 'real life' and pretty close, she looked good. smaller in stature than i imagined, but that seems quite common when seeing someone in reality.

never saw that flick, and doubt it would appeal to me as i am not really a stephen king fan, nor a fan of that genre period. however, that tv show was my first exposure to her, and i loved her. i've seen her in a few sporadic things since, tho i can't recall a one at the moment  but she is always good. a solid actress to be sure.

well you would know better than me. ;)

i was thinking of the excellent film laurel canyon, starring frances mcdormand in a role in think just custom-fit for her - but in a way many people would never her imagine her as such! however, she is one of those people if you were compiling a list of people you'd like to hang over drinks/coffee and shoot eh shit with, she'd be right up there! patricia arquette doesn't even register at all.....just a famous face to me. :)

Yes, that's it. I always loved her character in that movie. She was sweet as hell, but beat the shit out of Tony Soprano later.
