For me it's about quality over quantity now. The days of traveling for a week or more and seeing 6 or 7 shows. I have no interest anymore in doing that. I'm not putting down the fans that see the whole tour or anything. But for myself I'm putting other things in front of touring and seeing PJ this time around. And I'm happy that I'm doing that. :)

Oh and whoever said, ''that's what multiple credit cards are for''. Good luck when the bills come rolling in. And maybe you can afford it or your spouse can. But spending money that you don't have. That really can bite you in the ass sometime. lol

Agree. Now going to new places, new cultures, sights, meeting new people.......that makes multiple shows nice......but to see multiple shows just for the sake of doing it........love live PJ and need a fix.....but it can get old.

I wish i could work with pearl jam somehow, just for tickets cuz i mean damn, i just would go to every fn show if i could! I am capable of duties so i wonder where you post a resume..

Its just like heroin , you are always chasing that first high but you are always pretty satisfied with what you get so you gotta keep doing it, except for pearl jam makes you stronger and happier and alive :)

I will see the shows in Oregon and Washington and BC. Then probably just pick one show to travel too. That will be more than enough.

I also may fly under the radar this time. Maybe you'll see me? Maybe you won't?

I saw them 10 times last June & at The Beacon, which was July 1st, and I still wanted more!

I'm thinking if the new record comes out in the fall, they will probably do a few shows on the West Coast and then a Worldwide tour in 2010. I'm hoping they speed up the release of the new record, so we get a full blown tour in 2009.

I will go to at least 10 again.

Even with Vegas '06, VIC '07, and Ed '08....I wouldn't exactly call 3 shows in 3 years overdoing it. I want to see three shows next tour.....to tide me over for another three years. Neither I nor the band are getting any younger.

Australia would be really cool. But you have to make a good vacation out of that - a good two weeks at least. And that would cost serious coin!

If they play Seattle proper in '09, that is going to be just as hard a ticket as MSG was in '08.

No 10C MSG tickets? That's what I meant - that 10C tickets would be tough to get. There's always ticketmaster (or should I say ticketsnow.com) as a backup plan...

i am restricting my shows to "driving distance" from KC. this would include Minneapolis to the north, Chicago and Milwaukee to the northeast, St Louis to the east, OK City (maybe Dallas) to the south and Kanarado to the west.

the exception is LA or Fresno as i have brothers in each of these two locations.

don't think i'll be seeing PJ in 2009.
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

any show in boston, nyc or philly is a foregone conclusion. miami/west palm probably is gonna go down again too. hopefully there's something in hartford or albany..or jersey. i'd love to hit a vegas show...i'd love to do a seattle/vancouver run.

or maybe i'll skip the shows out of driving distance and save the flying money for a little euro run....i'm dying to see them in europe.
i have a paper here that entitles me to fast track status

I feel ya.. had there been any shows in Fall '08 I don't think I would've gone. I went into serious hibernation mode and complete PJ detoxification up until a month ago. It's good to step away and take a breather... I think it helps you appreciate it more.

I'm beginning to get the excitement back so, yeah, I'm sure I'll be at as many shows as I can manage in '09. Then hibernation again!

if i can manage some type of "vacation" while seeing shows....then COOL!!!!

but im not going to shows just to see shows....

i would love to do florida and disney again....

or get out to niagra falls again....

or california sun and a couple shows.......

depends on the tour schedule.....and what shows fall on weekends....

i've started putting a little away. i'm really hoping that they play in TX b/c that would make it much more "doable" to go to a few shows. like the earlier post, we're going to be "road tripping-it". our "close" options are Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, Austin, OK City, KC & Little Rock. i'm hoping to go to at least 3 shows, but we'll see!! i wish they'd just give us some idea of what they were planning...it sure would make it a lot easier! 8-)
