Tell us who won the money, okay?

I'm sorry I didn't follow up and let you guys know who won right after, it was much too depressing. Ugh, well after the disappointing result, a total of 4 people won the 500$ prize out of the 9 groups. Let me clarify:

At the beginning of the contest the radio station broke all of the tattoo submissions into 9 different groups because they had such a large number of contestants. Of the 9 groups; 5 were under "Best Band or Artist Logo", 2 were under "Best Band or Artist Lyric", 1 under "Best Musical Instrument", and 1 under "Best Band or Artist Portrait." The contest stated "The winner of each category would receive the $500 prize." They did not specify that each of the 5 different groups of the "Best band or artist Logo", with different tattoos in each, were competing against the other 4 groups comprised of 150~ other tattoos.

The instructions were short and to the point and said that whichever tattoo had the most votes in your category when the polls closed would receive the prize. When the contest began each one of the 9 individual groups immediately trying to get as many votes as they could for their tattoo. It appeared as if everyone assumed the categories and groups were the same. About 6 days into the competition after constantly checking the website for current vote tally's there seemed to be a new addition to their contest description. something along the lines of ,

"Remember, tattoos placed into categories with more than 1 group are competing against the rest of their category not just there individual group of tattoos."

After checking some of the other groups and realizing that some people already accumulated 500+votes I felt totally cheated and caught unaware. When the contest began it didn't say anything about each category. They made it seem that each group was its own category because it contained its own group of tattoos.

So I was all bummed out and pissed off when I saw another fan, PJlive post on the forums to get support for his buddies tattoo, who was in the lead of his own individual group. I tried to explain to him that he was 400 votes behind the leader of our newly dubbed "competition" but he really didn't seem to understand why they would do that, and was convinced it was by group. So I voted for him, and we started PMing each other. He said his buddy was in the lead by 5 votes with something like 10 minutes left before the deadline.(He had around 200~) He then told me the person in 2nd place was quickly gaining on him and he also said that this guy worked at the radio station! I quickly called some of my buddies to vote for PJlive and in the end when the polls closed before midnight, he had around a 3-5 vote lead.

So then I thought..."Hmmm, If a worker at the radio station was doing everything in his power to win his own individual group, even though hes a couple hundred votes short of the alleged 'victor', there must be some reason for him wanting to win the group other than 'bragging rights.' Why would he go through all the trouble?"

After the contest ended they stated they would post the winners in about 2 days. It took them at least 4-5 days and when they did lo and behold they had only 4 winners, once for each category. I know the winners of each group must have been quite upset. I texted the radio station my complaint and they apologized with,

"sorry u misunderstood but we noted 'winners of each category'-we had so many pics we had to break them up"

...but It doesn't help. Who cares, put them all into the same viewer if they are all competing against each other!! They clearly realized that the way they originally worded the contest was misleading so they changed it and with that, swept me and PJlive's shot at a 500$ prize.

So that is my depressing story and I hope you now understand why it took me awhile to respond as to who the winner was, I apologize.
