I feel the need to get my creative juices flowing...

....but I dont know what to do...I'm feeling full of creative, positive energy lately but find I dont have the time to do anything about it....have been giving consideration to starting to draw (and just be happy with what I do and not get pissed off cause its not the mona lisa or easy st monster )

So can anyone inspire me...what can I do to get this energy out into the world??

i think that helps.
draw...paint....sculpt...photograph.....write....music.......rearrange furniture....a home or garden project?

I like to write, play guitar...I want to draw...hate gardening but my garden needs some love :roll:

You should draw something you love, something you have passion for and that you can take pride in or give away as a gift. I often draw pictures of Ed and give them away to my PJ friends How about drawing a pic of your wife as a surprise?

I've been feeling really creative lately so i've decided to cover the plain table in our house with random torn images from the Mighty Book of Boosh (I had three copys for Christmas :roll: ) then i'm gonna varnish it, top it with glass and it'll sit pride of quirky place in my living room! Maybe you could could do something similar?

Photography is also a great creative hobby...

Maybe design your own t-shirt? Paint something abstract yet PJ related for your house?

One thing Al, you say you do not have the time - if you like to draw but feel you might need direction, consider an art class or something. The time will then be allocated and you will HAVE to do it!

i think this is an EXCELLENT idea!
most especially if it's something rather new/foreign to you...perhaps a bit of structure to your creativity is a good starting point.


me, i know i always get more creative when spring arrives. i am very seasonal. :P i have sooo much more energy, and go and desire.....and i unleash my creativity in so many ways! out in the garden, organizing in my home, clearing/rearranging space, changing colors, painting...taking pics, etc....it's all very cyclical for me.


i also find, if you just start to DO....it gets it going, it happens.....and you want more!

like d2d said, many times if you just start, it'll flow from there. works for me with writing, painting/drawing and reading!


with drawing, my problem is usually too many ideas with no time to make 'em all happen. I like to draw sort of series but what happens is that I'll work on one, then the other, then another one, then yet another and another.. lol.


anyway, get that pencil going!
