to stay in? Kinda doing a cheap weekend with a friend for spring break. Just wondering the best 'tourist' area to stay in with possibly a days inn... or similar type hotel. Oh and suggestions on what to do while we're there would be great!
Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance!

When I went to Toronto I stayed at the Bond Place Hotel - very basic, but was pretty close to everything, and we got it cheap!
Its in Dundas St.
I was only there for two days, but it seems to be a pretty spread out city.
This place was near the subway and about a 15/20 minute walk to the harbor.
Also there is an airport shuttle that will drop you out front of the hotel.Take me for a ride before we leave...0 -

When I went for the Ed shows... i stayed in a cool place, but I can't swing the price this time around."I'm not present, I'm a drug that makes you dream"0 -

As long as you stay downtown toronto, youre pretty close to everything. 20-30 min walk close, and there is allways the subway and street cars. There is a Days Inn on carlton, just west of yonge and college subway station. its not really in a touristy area, but your a 10 minute walk away from the eaton centre, yorkville, the art gallery, the museum, a 20 minute walk away from queen st west, the annex(bloor west) and the waterfront, and a 3 minute walk away from the gaybourhood. If you want to stay in the traditional touristy area, i would sugest staying close to queen west. the sheridan on queen, or the holiday in on king are good, but pricier bets. Be sure to check out kensinton market and eat at a restauraunt on baldwin st.
This sidewalk is for regular walking, not for fancy walking!0 -
i just visited TO for the first time in January and I had a blast! Go to hotels.com and get a deal. i stayed at the sheraton center downtown and walked everywhere. there are taxis to get further out.I love to turn you on0

What the hell? (Unless you're joking) Toronto is an AWESOME city. I've stayed at the Delta Chelsea many times. Its near tons of stuff, there's good restaurants, good shopping, night life... what's not to like in TO?
We've seen a couple shows at the Mod Club - that's a nice area on College Street.R.i.p. Rigoberto Alpizar.

looking to sightsee? if so, elaborate on your tastes.
looking to hit some clubs and lounges? if so, elaborate on your tastes.
looking to enjoy at least a proper lunch or dinner at some point? if so, elaborate on your tastes

You're damn right I can! Rickards Red, Molson Canadian, Moosehead Light/ Moosehead Green, Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale, Labatt Blue, Sleemans Honey Brown, etc, etc,...the choices are endless, as we have some fantabulous beer here in Canada! :P
My personal favorite would either be Moose Green or Rickards Red though.Post edited by bovy_j on0 -
