They had to find a song to discuss that is related to current events of a given time as part of a project. She asked me for ideas, so I started rattling off a few - Masters of War, Know Your Rights, God Save the Queen, Bleed for Me, Capital G (I included a variety of artists), and got to No More. Back story is this 14 1/2 year old has attended I forget how many Pearl Jam shows with me over the years, I think about 18 shows. So she's heard No More (first at Lolla 07), then at all the Ed solo shows we went to, and when I mentioned No More, she said she was going to use this one. I was so proud of her. Remember she is 14 1/2 so I may never hear any more about what she did with her project, but maybe she'll tell me when she hits 18 and tells me stuff again...though if I pick my timing well maybe she'll tell me. Just thought it was kind of cool.

Sweet, hope you get to see the result :D
    Everyday................is Pearl Jam Day.

    Except Sundays, that's Ed day.

its amazing how music can be a bond that keeps lines of communication open with kids and there parents. My mother being a single mom and all... would always take an interest in the music I was listening too, and we would often discuss lyrics from bands like the Bad Brains to Kenny Rogers to Cannibal Corpes to Neil Diamond and of course Pearl Jam (She happens to think EdVed is a better song writter away from the band... I disagree). Thats not to say we didnt but heads and get along all the time... But it was always my favorite bonding experience.
