Hey everyone!

Just wanted to alert some intelligent and compassionate people about my best friend/housemate's charity. She has been going down to Haiti to do humanitarian work for about a year now. She goes in to Cite Soleil pretty much by herself and provides first aid every day, and pays for as many water trucks as she can every time she's down there.

Water is one of our needs that we take for granted in our wealth... Currently the only people who sell water in Cite Soleil are charging two or three times what it costs them; as a result, most people cannot afford the water and are forced to drink polluted rain water.

My friend Tammy is working on installing a nonprofit, self-sustaining water tower; it will be able to provide water for 100,000 people. The citizens will be charged just enough to pay for the water costs to keep it full. She has had the land donated by local government, and she broke ground on the project a few weeks ago. She's in the final crunch for this stage of her project...

Like I said, I just wanted to raise awareness. Beyond that, if you feel like/are able to donate, there is a PayPal section on the site - any amount, even $5, is a fantastic gift. If you can't afford to or don't want to help monetarily, if you are moved, please pass the site around. :)

The site again is www.helptammyhelphaiti.com - Thanks for your time! :)
