    Pros
    Blackberry Email (Top notch)
    Crisp Clear display
    Music (8gb) SD card
    Sleek Design
    Sound Quality

    Cons
Painfully slow software (After Upgrade). Sometimes takes 10-20 seconds to switch from portrait to landscape.
Touch screen typing is hell if you have male fingers. Click screen is hard to use on the fly.
Browser hard to use because of the click screen
Multi-Tap typing in portrait mode is just plain old

Overall...It's just so damn slow and buggy. The touch screen is a good idea, but the blackberry with actaully keyboards is 10x more efficient. I would say it's a good start and a neat gadget. If you use blackberry for work then forget it. It will drive you insane to have t use the touchscreen. If you want a cool phone to "play" with then think about it, but take a good solid look at the Iphone or the Bold

Right now Verizon has buy one Blackberry get one free. I was going to get one with a buddy from work, but I keep reading these "the Storm sucks" threads. I think I'll be holding out for something else.

Yeah...When they work out the kinks in the Gen 1 model it will be a great phone. For now I would hold off and wait for the next generation to come out. Or go with a Curve...It's a solid phone

I screwed around with it a few times.....it pretty much sucks. I dont have an iphone, but I have an ipod touch, and once you have that, nothing else can compete with it. As far as touch screen phones go, its either IPHONE or NOTHING. (ok maybe the G1)

  • Someday iPhone users will be able to send picture text messages. Someday. Maybe. Hopefully.

I'm having issues with my curve, though it's highly abused. :?

    You have abused it....

The Storm sucks straight out of the box.

    yep it's been around.

but it's more issues with texts being erased before getting them, or them not being sent.

I support about 60 blackberry users in my job. Bloody things drive me demented sometimes, but we haven't had any Storms added yet.

IMO, forget iPhones and blackberrys, ye can't go wrong with a Nokia

If your married to Verizon, you might want to give the Samsung Omnia a look. I love mine. However, I do not use it for banging out work e-mails. My company would cripple its internet access if I tied it into their system.
    I can't teach common sense.

So I did some searching around on the net today to find solutions to the Storm being really slow. I guess when you open anything on the Storm (Music, IM, Browser), it stay open until you close it manually. So I tried to close every non essential program on it and it made it 10x faster. In other words, the phone still has many flaws, but one of the perceived fatal ones is very easily fixed.
