and I wished for so long...
I cannot stay
All the precious moments...
Cannot stay
It's not like wings have fallen...
I cannot say
Without you something is missing...
I cannot say

Holding hands of daughters and sons
In their phase they're falling down
Down, down, down

I have wished for so long...
How I wish for you again

Will I walk the long road?
I cannot stay
There's no need to say goodbye

Oh, the friends and family...
All the memories going round
Round, round round...

I have wished for so long...
How I wished for you today

And the wind keeps rollin'
And the sky keeps turning grey
And the sun is set
The sun will rise another day

I have wished for so long...
How I wish for you today

I have wished for so long...
How I wish for you today
Will I walk the long road?
We all walk the long road

    This has shocked the world.

I just read that the death toll is currently up to 170... There are no words.

    I'm just so, so sorry.

What´s most shocking is that some fires may have been lit deliberate.....

Thoughts and prayers to anyone affected
Dream the dreams of other men,...You´ll be no ones rival,...

I live in Epping, which is not very far from Whittlesea, Kinglake and all the other suburbs, we had a bad day down here on Sat with REALLY bad smoke, it was HORRENDOUS!!

I cannot begin to imagine what all these communities are going through, the sheer force of the fires were just too much for anyone to handle and the damage is obviously WAY beyond repair. To think that they were purposley lit is the one thing that makes me more angry than anything, because now these families are without EVERYTHING!! All their precious memories lost, never to be replaced.

My Aunty had to evacuate her house in Buxton cause of the fires and it has shaked her up beyond belief, thankgod her house was spared, that can't be said for the houses around her, I was glad to hear that she was ok and safe.

My thoughts go out to those who have been affected by this tragedy and whose lives will NEVER EVER be the same, My thoughts go out to those families who lost loved ones, there is nothing worse than losing someone that you love. Be as strong as you can possibly be and know that our thoughts, Love and Prayers are with you, Now and forever

The speed that these fires moved is beyond belief. To make the decision to stay and fight to save your house, or run and leave it all behind is incomprehensible.

There have been reports where the only road in and out of some towns were blocked by trees that had fallen across the road. There was no way out, people were surrounded in all directions.

People would drive away from a fire, only to be stopped by the fire brigade and told to turn around as they were driving directly into the path of another, so they had to turn around and try and outrun the first fire they were fleeing.

The terror these people would have been feeling - you cant even imagine, you dont want to imagine.

The images of burnt out cars where people had tried to make a run for it, and didnt make it...

Over $13M has been raised in the last couple of days for victims and survivors of the fires. If there is a shining light in all of this, its the overwhelming support and generosity of Australians, and people around the world helping with whatever they can, especially given the current economic climate.

If people want to donate, even if only a few $$, the Red Cross or the Salvation Army are the websites you can go to:

Stars walk the red carpet because they're famous - I walk the toilet paper because im the shit.

    Hey everyone out there,

Being from Melbourne it is great to see the support that everyone from every corner of Australia if not the globe is rallying behind us. What can only be described as 'hell on earth' for everyone involved, we witnessed the hottest day on record here last Saturday 47c - not sure what that is in Farenheit but i know its well over the 100f mark - and as you would have read in previous posts the carnage and devastation that these fires have left behind is something undescribable. I live around an hour away and have no one directly involved in this situation, but living the horror from my lounge room on saturday afternoon was something id never like to live again!

With true aussie spirit we are already fighting back. It makes me extremely proud to be an Australian. Piece by piece we (Melbournians, Victorians, Australians) will help these back get their lives back on track!!!!!

For the 170 + people who have perished (possibly up to 300) they will be forever in our hearts.

Peace be with you all xoxo
