Interpretation

As some of you may know, I'm a very young Pearl Jam fan, in highschool. I have an assignment for my Forensics/Intro to Interpretation class:

-Select a work on for your first "interp" assignment. Consider the literary value of the selection, its suitability for the audience, and personal interests. Think about what you're interested in. What kind of people? What circumstances?

Here's a little quote on what "interp" is:
“Interpretation is the art of communicating to an audience a work of literary art in its intellectual, emotional, and aesthetic entirety.”

INTERPRETATION IS THE ART OF COMMUNICATING…
PERFORMANCE!
A SPECIAL KIND OF PERFORMANCE—THE PERFORMANCE OF LITERATURE
YOU ARE THE CREATIVE ARTIST—DIRECTOR, ARRANGER AND PERFORMER ALL IN ONE
COMMUNICATING TO AN AUDIENCE
USE OF VOICE AND BODY

I need to chose a "work" (a.k.a. a Pearl Jam song) to use by Monday. So I've been thinking about some songs that are universal to everybody.

Here's my ideas so far: I'm Still Here, Come Back, Masters of War (Bob Dylan, but PJ covered it so it still counts), Long Road

Thoughts/Suggestions/Comments? I could use all the help I can get ;)

well, i'm not exactly sure what you are going for, but all of their songs do what i think you are looking for, at different levels. for me, cropduster, 1/2 full, or gone would be good for discussion on man vs. earth, which is a discussion i am interested in. for more personal, introspective stuff, you have selected some good ones. so what exactly are you going for here??

Basically what I have to do is get up in front of the class and perform the song, by reading and action
Here's an example, but not even half as good as these guys:
