It might not be one of my favorite songs but I do like it. I haven't heard it live in awhile. Is it played a lot live or do i just miss those shows?

Love this damn song. My best friend from childhood is a great girl and when we were in college she got engaged and the dirtbag cheated on her, so I immediately thought of the line: caught a bolt of lightning, cursed the day he let it go. It fit perfectly because that piece of crap certainly never found anyone like her again. I remember sharing that line with her and she cried like a baby....I think more because I was actually being so nice and thoughtful rather than the jackass I so often was back then
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

I love hearing this song live. I've only ever heard it 3 times live there was a long gap between Barrie '98 and Detroit '06. I wish they'd play it more. Apparently the song is very hard on Ed's vocals, which is likely why it has become rare in recent tours.

Certainly one of my favorite PJ songs... all of the above sentiments don't even begin to cover how truly powerful I believe that song is...

He needs to stop hitting the whiskey or beer or whatever else he hits. Bad for his health, bad for his kickass voice...and I never would've thought Nothingman was so hard to sing compared to some of the throat scorching songs from Ten-Vitalogy. Or Lukin. I've also thought that Nothingman was Better Man lite.
    Thanks EPOTTSIII!

Lukin has to be harsher on his vocals then nothingman.

Some words were spoken, can't be taken back...

Thunder Bay 2005 is always a version I fondly remember seeing live
I was alone and far away when I heard the band start playing!

...I was always a DeadHead, but when I first heard Winston Rodney, aka the Burning Spear, sing, I became a SpearHead too!

Agreed. The crowd (which I was a part of) just overpowers Ed.
