I had started a thread like this back on the old Pit and I thought it should be brought back again, being that it's so close to Valentine's day and all! :)

I just had a great conversation with an extraordinary person who reminded me to appreciate my life, family, friends and experiences...so...

...my love to all of you that I've met this past year and all the previous years (or who I haven't met yet but have put a smile on my face or made me laugh out loud)

...my love to the people who've pissed me off because you remind me that every person's feelings and opinions are valuable

...my love to the people that give us this place to come to, the people behind the scenes and the people on the stage that give us what we need when we need it

What I've found here with you all has been an anchor and joy in my life. The friendships and relationships I've made may have started here, but have far surpassed anything I had ever expected.

This is sappy, yes, but with this crazy world we live in I'm cool with adding a little more love and sappiness to it.

And love.... What a different life
Had I not found this love with you...

    A week until Valentine's day!

I know a lot of people hate that day, but it doesn't always have to be about the obvious "relationship/date" thing. Love your mom..Love your dog...Love your friends!

Foxy Mop, this is such a nice idea. I think there's a good reason why children give Valentines out to all their friends. The love of our friends keeps us happy. :)

    It's worth a lot.

P.S. How do you put hearts into the text?

Exactly! I completely agree... it's our friends & family that are always there with love and support :)

As for the hearts, I always copy & past them. It's the easiest way

Aww but see that's my point, no one is ever really single. Unless you're the old hermit dude on the top of the mountain. You have friends and family and always someone to hug!

Agreed! When I was single, I didn't hate valentines day cos usually a few of us would get together and hit the town :D . It's basically singles night  and the one night of the year when you're pretty sure any guy you meet is single

Totally valid point. :) I've been single for the past three V-Days and I've had a great time out with my girls on every single one of them.

I love everyone. :D I still give my love, I just give it away. The love I receive is the love that is saved.

What if you were 8 months pregnant and single? I think that'd sting a little bit more, but even then...there's gotta be worse stuff out there.

WITH 8 babies?!...and you have 6 at home...and you don't work...and are ALREADY on food stamps...yeah, that would be worse.

Mhhmmmm! That's just a sad story with so much more behind it too. :(

My friend is in that situation right now. Daddy took off about 5 months ago, hasn't seen or heard from him since, so she's on her own for right now dealing with the pregnancy and everything else. Rough times...and all that makes you forget what day is coming up for the most part anyway, so since there's greater things to dwell on or figure out...it's not like this is much of a big deal.

I think for single people that think this day sucks, turn it around and appreciate that this day sucks for just that reason and that you have nothing worse to deal with at the moment! :) When you're in love, Valentine's Day should be most days anyway. So who cares about missing this one!
