I know! No one I know listens to Stern so this was the only place I would be able to talk to people about it so I had to revive the thread.

Artie is such an asshole. He is such an addict with all the addict excuses. He blames Gary for calling him a liar because it will hurt him professionally and personally. It would be way too much for him to actually take some responsibility for himself and his actions. Like anything Gary is going to say is going to stop him from gettting a gig.

i like artie....but his "demons" if you will, which are part of his addiction, really come out when he's challenged...

he should be in rehab/intensive therapy but i know he thinks that if he gets clean he won't be funny anymore...which is bullshit but you can't tell him that

HAHA Best Ronnie quote ever. Howard hasn't been messing with Ronnie lately. They gotta bust on that leprechaun more often. This after an entire week of messing with Gary's barstools (which looking on the website Howard is 100% right about).

Any idea when Underdog ladys show is coming back. That is hilarious.

Also, when is Eric the midgets American Idol show? I always meant to watch at least 1 episode live. I think he goes by west coast time or something. I hate American Idol, but I gotta see the ETM show.

Possibly not for long.... I see Sirius XM is getting ready to file Chapter 13. They might have to dump some big contracts to survive.

HAHA Not a chance they drop Stern. Half the subscribers would leave with him. I know I would.

They will probably drop Oprah, Martha Stewart, programs that don't loose subscribers if they drop them. Let's face it, they just aren't radio personalities.

Fan or not, you gotta know if they drop Stern they might as well close the doors to the satellite radio business.

A lot of users are ticked off at the "consolidation" of music between XM and Sirius when the merger happened. I was personally ticked that XM had a GREAT punk station, Sirius has an ok one... when they merged they dropped both!?!?!?! People were ticked they dropped the old school rap station that there were so many complaints and people dropping their service that they brought it back.

Losing Stern would be putting a tombstone on satellite radio. Not gonna happen.

EchoStar will most likely own the company if Sirius doesn't get them out of this mess. Shouldn't cause much problems in programming. The "sign ups" when Stern first got hired were unreal. It proved that he was worth the money they spent on him.

His contract is only for 2 more years. I wouldn't be stunned if there was a big pay cut when he signs his new contract (I believe he will)

Did anyone hear Artie and Gary go at it on the Wrap Up show last week? I love how Artie has to tell everyone he is funny. If you have to say it, maybe you aren't that funny.

You are so right about being on Gary's side. Gary is completely right. As much as Artie has lied, you don't know when he is lying and when he is telling the truth. Artie's argument that he only lies about drug related stuff is complete bullshit and is just a junkie mentality.

I started listening to Stern in 2001 and Artie was a big reason for it. Over the last couple of years I really have come to dislike him and really find him annoying.

He said this week that he doesn't think it will go under. He also said he would never go back to free radio.

His show can get pretty nasty, but for me the best parts have always been the interplay between the staff. The best thing about him moving to Sirius is that there aren't as many commercials and they don't last for twenty minutes.

Man, I miss Stern. I used to listen to the show and watch the E show every night. Since he switched to Sirius I haven't heard a peep from him. I just can't bring myself to pay for radio.

Same boat here. I miss the hell outta some Stern. Nothing beats a good laugh in the morning on the way to work.

I dont like agreeing with a Louisville fan, but since Calipari left my team for UK I will have to pull for Lousiville whenever they play UK.
