any confirmation besides that previous thread about the DJ that had said something?
Someone posted this link on here yesterday and a lot of what it's on it has come true so far and more importantly the mods haven't deleted the thread which means it's probably accurate:
I've heard two different versions of Brother with the lyrics. I always liked the original one I heard, but the latest one I've heard is better in my opinion. It has some added background vocals. It's my 16 year old nephew's favorite song.
A local rock station in Boston has it posted on their website that they should be recieving this single soon and when they do it will go into rotation.
Funny how a b side from a great band 18 years ago can blow away singles from rock bands today.

Imagine some teenager listening and buying Ten for Brother, and then discovering Alive, Evenflow, Black, Porch, Jeremy, etc... And then realizing PJ has tons of boots and albums..that this could happen alone makes this so cool to be released as a single..for just the possibility.

It looks like it will be nationwide Tuesday, my brothers called me asking what the new PJ coming out Tuesday is, said the stations in New York and Jersey have been talking about it.
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...

It's going to be interesting to see how the younger kids take to the re-release of TEN. Funny how an entire generation of kids could get to hear this album for the first time. It's going to be pretty interesting to see the effect especially if "Brother" get's heavy airplay.
In the NYC area, 92.3 K-Rock will debut it this omcing Tuesday (17th) at 10AM est.
Shit
It's going to be pretty cool to hear "Brother" on the radio.
I remember hearing it for the first time back in like 1996 or something. I went to a record store that had a bunch of Pearl Jam bootlegs. I bought it because it had "Brother" on it.
I was blown away. Despite the shitty bootleg recording, I could tell that the song was a gem.
Amazing how many great B-sides the Ten/Vs era produced.
Songs like:
Brother
Girl
Wash
Footsteps
Breath
State of Love And Trust
Dirty Frank
Ledbetter
Alone
Hold On
Would have made a pretty classic album in between Ten and Vs.
They talked about Brother on 93.3 WMMR yesterday during a Pearl Jam "Work Force Block". They played RVM, Lask Kiss then talked up the re-release, the new album, then the tour, then played 10-second clip of Brother, then LROM, then Wish List. The Spectrum was mentioned again as a show location with some dates being tossed around, nothing firm yet. Getting so psyched!!

I thought it was debuting today on KROQ, but I was wrong--it's the 17th
