How many is it now for Obama? How many of these people think it is ok to raise taxes but not pay them? I'm sure she didn't know.

Strange that a background check for a cabinet position does not include something as simple as the question of whether you paid your taxes or not. :roll:All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.0

This stuff is an outrage. Apparently it's even cool not to pay your taxes as a former Senator, or head of the NEW YORK FED-- Well, I guess Timmy G. just thought it was going to come back to him anyway?
Nope, you have to be inches away from a presidential cabinet position before the IRS or anyone else seems to care.
If it's their Federal Income Tax that they're paying, well, technically they are doing everything WITHIN the law, by not filing0 -
Theft By Deception: Deciphering the Federal Income Tax
This documentary is great.
Dry as hell,
but you will sure as shit understand a complex legal scam much better,
once you are done.
I came away from this one shaking my head in dismay,
particularly after the segments where they show you how the US Code was maliciously changed in order to cover up, alter, or mislead citizens away from the truth about their legal duties. If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?0 -
Did you just realize this
This has been going on for years,
and you don't think that any other nominations from other presidents has tax issues..... these ones are just being played out in the media probably cuz Obama took the change stance
I just heard a stat the other day and don't quote me on this (but I am off by just few numbers if any at all)
the top 4% of the income bracket only paid 13% of their income in taxes while most of us pay 20-30% of our income
seem fair?**CUBS GO ALL THE WAY IN......never **0 -
More reason to go to a consumption tax. If you buy it, you're going to pay taxes. The only people we should try to get even with...
...are those who've helped us.
Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.0 -

I'm all for it. Only hitch I see is working out a system for it.0 -
I'd really just love to see us whack spending ASAP, then we could divise a tax system that makes sense-- if it is even needed? But yeah, if it came down to it, a consumption tax sounds like a fair idea, from how I understand it.0

Didn't Biden say paying your taxes was Patriotic...
Democrats...do as I say not as I do......
Here is a stimulus package Barak...keep nominating your Dem buddies. It seems that is the only way they pay taxes...look, we are up $150,000 with just 3 of your crooked friends0 -

Exactly..people need to wake up and realise he was full of shit with that 'change' crap that they fell for.
I'd have to look for it again, but from what I understand, we aren't even supposed to pay taxes on our wages. Wages are not income. They are fair trade- product and/or service for money. Income is something like allowances...I can't for the life of me remember, is it trust funds? Whatever rich brats get from rich mommy and daddy without lifting a finger. That is not a fair trade, making it taxable income.
something like that..as said, I'd have to go look it up again, it's been so long since I last seen anything about it that it's all very foggy. And if I am not mistaken, it says right in the constitution (or bill of rights?) that wages cannot be taxed.0 -

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama warned on Thursday that failure to act on an economic recovery package could plunge the nation into a long-lasting recession that might prove irreversible, a fresh call to a recalcitrant Congress to move quickly.
In an op-ed piece in The Washington Post, the president argued that each day without his stimulus package, Americans lose more jobs, savings and homes. His message came as congressional leaders struggle to control the huge stimulus bill that's been growing larger by the day in the Senate. The addition of a new tax break for homebuyers Wednesday evening sent the price tag well past $900 billion.
President Obama is resorting to the Bush fear tactics rather then his "Hope and Change" platfrom.

I just love the Sara Palin link you gave to try to divert attention...she lost, get over it0 -
President Obama is better than President Bush.
His administration of a few weeks is so much better.
Criticism of President Obama's initial cabinet picks is warranted.
Please avoid sweeping political generalizations that promote division and harm our country.
Democrats and Republicans both love America and both want the best for the USA.
That being said, it is essential that we keep an wary eye on all our leaders.Hold On0 -
I did not realize so many of you voted for McCain
seriously are people giving up on Obama after 3 weeks?
or if you did vote for McNutsak
are you not going to give Obama more than 3 weeks to try to work it out?**CUBS GO ALL THE WAY IN......never **0 -

Na only the first sentence was to do with what I quoted and I figured you possibly didn't mean it to really be against Obama...0
