Posters that are framed..

Just a quick question.. I may need to sell my collection of PJ tour posters only issue is I've heard people hate when they are already framed? Will they still be sold do I have to take off the selling price or what? thanks.

    The questions that come up when looking at buying a framed poster ... at least when I see a framed print ...

    1) What condition is the poster in? If it's under a mat, it may have corner tears or dings ... yet, the buyer cannot see it.

    2) Can the poster be removed from the frame? Is it drymounted to something? Someone may want to change the frame, or resell the poster at a later date. Knowing if the poster can be removed is big for some.

    3) Authenticity - There have been some fakes floating around, so, close up pics would be nice so people could see the colors, the screenprinting to make a better judgement if it's real or not.

    good answers thus far, and also keep in mind:

    depending on how your poster is framed - frame colors, mat colors, etc...it may add/subtract it's appeal. also, will cost WAY more to ship framed, and more 'dangerous'...as the glass could break, damage the print, etc. so all these factors definitely 'limit' the market for an already framed poster...in addition to what is listd in post 2. a lot of people don't want to pay for someone else's framejob.

    thanks everyone.. they are real/authentic posters purchased from the shows so they aren't fakes... Anyway thanks for the advice jammers.

    Take them out of the frame...Then list them...I think they would sell better..you may be able to reuse the frame or you could even sell the frame seperately later...people buy anything on ebay... :D
