I just have to pick a random place to rant about this, brief as I can. promise. I'm not going to post a link to that 4 minute cursing fest that he hurled at that director of photography for the new TERMINATOR, so you can look it up yourselves if you care to. but once you hear it, you'll probably agree with me. that is one of the many problems with "celebrities" these days. and it pisses me off more and more that it is CELEBRITY that rules in Hollywood, and not TALENT and CLASS. so this obscure actor gets a couple of movie roles that anyone else would die for, and it makes him think he's God. and it's even more appalling that other actors are coming to his defense, saying that because he's the world's biggest star that he has a right to go off. just because you're a successful actor doesn't give you the right to talk to other people like that. I know it's not all actors, but what is it about some of them that makes them think they are more important than anyone else? I'm an actor myself, and I know damn well that there are other people on the set and backstage that are doing the work no one really wants to do, and that I'm DAMN LUCKY that I'm fortunate enough to be in the position I am in. I've worked on both sides, onstage and backstage, and the techs of any production are to be respected. they're the ones doing all the "hard" work. actors go out and have a ball doing what they do. that's why I love it. I don't feel like I'm working when I do it. and even on my worst of days, I couldn't see myself laying into someone and just dragging it on and on like that. the director of that movie is one big pussy for not throwing Bale off the set. the movie could be a success with or without him. so what if he's "Batman"... others have been Batman too. he didn't define the role. and by the way, that gravely voice he did in the movies sucked. I guess he was best cut out for AMERICAN PSYCHO... that is what he really is. thoughts?

The only Batman movie I like is the 1st Tim Burton one because Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson are equally nuts. I fell asleep during the 1st of the new Batman movies. Haven't seen last year's yet, so I should hold off opinion. But I never cared much for Christian Bale.

From what I understand, this rant happened the same week as the stuff with his mom and sister. I listened to it earlier today, and I agree; completely uncalled for.
As I was listening, I couldn't help but think this guy is the biggest asshole in the world.
But, at the same time, I don't know what's going on in his life. I don't know what it's like to be him, or what he's going through. I'm not trying to justify his behavior.
All I'm saying is that maybe we normal people, whom TMZ is not following 24-7, and whom aren't miked up 18 hours a day, don't know the whole story.
Or, maybe he is just really a huge prick. Regardless, Dark Knight was amazing

i love his acting and his movies. i was glad when he was cleared of the allegations with his mom/sister, so this is a bummer. but...luckily i don't want to be friends with the guy, just enjoy his movies.

there are plenty of asshats in all professions. however, i can still appreciate his work - his acting - and sure, perhaps feel sorry for those who have to deal with him personally. and he certainly is far from alone in that category, celebrities and normal folk alike.

That's what I figure... anyone here who says they never wanted or thought about going off like that during a shit day at work is lying. He's just lucky enough to be in a position where he can get away with it.

I agree that he is an absolute prick, but I can't ignore that the movies he makes are generally pretty good. Lets face it, there are tons of actors and musicians who are horrible, egotistical people, but you can ignore it if what they produce is worthwhile. Russell Crowe is a complete asshole as well, but his movies are good so I overlook it.
