Couldn't find a thread about this, but that doesn't mean there isn't one....

Just got a Google Alert informing me that Mike plays a rocking slide guitar on Dierks Bentley's latest, "Feel That Fire". As a long time Pearl Jam obsessee, and a fan of good country music, this excites me! :)

Hell, most modern country is more rockin than most of the crap on rock radio now. That's cool for Mike, seems like a well-rounded musician.

Man of the Hour on Benaroya sounds like it might be on slide guitar, could be wrong though.

I came across this video randomly one day, but here is a link to an official recording of a Dierks Bentley concert, with two songs featuring a special guest who may or may not be the subject of this thread! See tracks 13 and 14 for our boy.....

Stone's actually quite the slide player too, he does some mean stuff on Mother Love Bone's 'Lady Godiva Blues', the TOTD record has some on it too but then that could be Mike or Stone...

So is Mike going to wear a cowboy hat now and start hanging out with Toby Keith?

i love mike more than the next guy/gal, but, bentley's lead player smoked him on both those tune's.

Just further proves my point that country music now is turning into the Southern Rock of the 70's. I personally am glad...can't wait till they get to the Grunge era!

You know, I've just recently begun listening to country, and Feel That Fire is definitely one of the songs that caught my attention. The fact that Mike works with Dierks is just that much cooler.
