That new RS interview is worth reading. Love how they said that they just want to be Green Day again with no concept gimmicks.

Heard the new Green Day Rev Radio leak. Converted it to FLAC to listen to it and I have to say this is their 1st good album since American Idiot. Since AI they sound like they're going through the motions but this one is so awesome.

I have 2 tickets for Thursday night's Green Day concert at Wrigley Field available.  Great seats in section 10.
    $70 per ticket (below face).
Willing to split the tickets into 2 singles.

Looking forward to the Raleigh show. Never seen them live so thought I would knock it out! Reminds me of learning power chords during my beginner guitar days.

  • Won pit tickets through our local radio station for the Denver show on August 9th. Took my 14 year old son to his first concert, which happens to be his favorite band. We had a blast!
Got me started listening to them again, which I hadn't done in a while. Man, I really forgot just how good Dookie is. Start to finish. Not a bad song on it. I'd definitely rank it in the top 10 albums of the 90s.

i think Green day is one of those bands that young and old would enjoy seeing.  I saw them during the American Idiot tour and enjoyed them a lot.  They played near me a few weeks ago didn't go but knew some people that went.  The one kid (with the lisp) was at the show.

Dookie kicks ass! Great to hear they still put on a fine show!

  • Really enjoyed the Raleigh show the other week. Great to hear most of the 90's stuff along with things like Jesus of Suburbia(always thought it was super underrated epic) from AI. They do a nice job of keeping the crowd in it.

I am a fan of all albums , minus the trilogy ( I think had they just shorten those three albums to one with the best 12 songs it could have been solid ) however whom am I to say what they should and should not have done.

Got to see them at the free Boston Hatchshell Show that ended in a riot in 1994. I was 15 and it was amazing. Although I would like to see them again I don't think anything will ever top that.

I think they are currently working on new material. I said I will not see them live again but with Dookie turning 25 this year , if they did an album tour for it I would be there.
  • I am in if they do an album tour.  There have been rumors of that.

Dookie and American Idiot are the best albums.

  • It’s amazing how embarrassing they are now. They must be doing this celebrate 20 years since they’ve been good.
  • Ya that new song doesn’t do a thing for me.
The new Weezer one is not very far a head either.

I was okay with the American Idiot thing at the time. There's some good tunes on that one (although I prefer to ignore the overdone videos). I couldn't get into anything else since.

Sorry to say, this doesn't work for me either.  Not that it's bad, but to me it sounds like throw-away generic rock stuff.  Hopefully the shows will be better.

Not crazy about the new song but I'll definitely see them here in Atlanta again next summer.  Will be my 5th Green Day show.  I pre-ordered the new album too.

For all the shit some people like to give Billie Joe and heap on Green Day, I think they guy is A-OK and I like a lot of Green Day's music.

Edit:  Found this while doing a search.  Wow!  I didn't know he had kids!  Very cool cover here:
