Hey all. I am pretty new to the downloading of music. I am fine with my cds and records of pearl jam but my daughter thinks I should downloading music and get with the times. My question is, is there somewhere on the internet besides limewire that i can get free pearl jam songs? I guess it is time to start my digital collection.

i do go on http://www.Rhapsody.com each month thou. try before you buy. 20 free songs to play each month.
iTunes lets you use the cds you do have and puts them into digital files on your computer. no need to buy them again.
EDIT: Actually, there is no such thing (my conscious got the best of me). I agree that you should pay for your music. A good start might be to digitize the stuff you already have and go from there. DON'T buy into the myth that everyone steals music. Those that can should pay...

yeah--it's not downloading but it may be new to you!
Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin' at me
if you want to own it, buy it.
don't steal from pj.
If you're talking about stuff that's still for sale, I agree with everyone else, you should pay for it.
if you can find a record for free, download it.
i buy my pj records though, its tradition.
i have places i go for free music, but im not gonna advertise them here.
what does that saying mean? never heard of 'performance is in the product"...
to the OP- there is a website out there that offers the old, not-for-sale-anymore pj songs. pjbootlegs.com, I think? someone here will know.
(illegal downloading is no different than walking into best buy and shoplifting)
pretty cut and dry.
if i like your music, i'll spend money to watch you play. if you play well, i'll spend more money to watch you play again.
if i love your music, i'll buy the records for aesthetic purposes.
